Grad School at the Half-Way Point And Other News

I pulled off a 4.0 this semester. Yes! Now my grad school GPA stands at a 3.83. I'm pretty happy, since getting a 4.0 was on my bucket list. I came close to that with winter session '10, and I was disapointed when it didn't happen. But now I can say I had a 4.0 semester. It gives me some wiggle room to deal with the third semester, which is going to be a bitch. I'm taking a seminar with a professor who is a notable badass. Plus I have a 10 a.m. for the first time in a year, and I don't have a single day off from class.

But now I'm just going to enjoy summer. I think I'll go and hang out at the pool or something.

In other good news, UD nixed their plans for the totally unneeded law school. Thank god that in one case, common sense prevailed!

Agreed.

No need to give rise to another institution of mediocrity tongue.gif

And no, that's not entirely a jab at the University of Delaware system. When you're talking about law school, unless you attend a highly regarded one, there is little to no justification for wasting time, money, and energy. I know even undergraduates who've sprung from some College of Nothing-ville and applied to certain competitive jobs positions only to have the employer basically imply "come back when you have a real degree".
