Pro's and Con's: My day
Okay, I should first announce that my new story's 1st chapter is going live tonight. It's definitely a love child of passion, interest, and even a bit of comedy I could not have done this without Kitt's help in editing.

That's the Pro of my day, next comes all the Cons:
Son of Bitch! is all I can say about my grandmother's housing administrator. An 85 year old woman is likely to be evicted from her home in the next two weeks, because she failed to provide her paperwork on time. My mother brought my paternal grandmother to SSA primary office in Boston and they said that they cannot issue any "official" documents due to the shutdown. They were willing to attempt to call the administrator and work something out, but the bastard refused, because he needed to have official documentation.
I've never opposed Section 8 housing for Seniors, I might not agree with the practice for everyone under the sun, but I get why Seniors have to go that route. There's something Republicans of the Tea Party don't understand and probably will not get until they get to about 80, when even the strongest 401K will run out. It's also why I want to be able to have assisted Suicide for myself. Not a morbid concept, just a reality.
Imagine this, you saved throughout your life what money you can. You retire at 62 with some savings and a small Social Security benefit package. You live pretty comfortable until you are 80. 18 years without a job, living off savings and government benefits is not what people planned for in retirement concepts. People like my grandmother never planned to live to 85, but she has. she does not wish for handouts, but she can't deny it either. I make a decent salary, but I also have college loans to worry about. My dad has his mortgage to worry about. We're the average American family, so how can we support an 85 year old woman on top of all that.
COMMON SENSE, we can't get documents for her, our means of support are limited by our obligations, and the federal government is shutdown.
I will be contacting Massachusetts Elder Affairs Department tomorrow and hope I can use the State to force the Housing Administrator to give us more time, but if he won't listen to a Social Security Administration Employee, who would he listen to.
I am beyond pissed, I am beyond angry...
Here's another thing that got me off, a TEA PARTY member wrote to me, "We're trying to help the elderly by fighting Obamacare".
My three responses to that:
First, FUCK YOU !
Second FUCK YOU !
And Third, FUCK YOU !
You got no clue as to why you hate Obamacare and you think you can tell me that this is for the Elderly.
I have openly expressed my distaste for that law; I dislike the HIT mandate and its rules, being extremely draconian and insular. Obamacare does not unite Insurers, Doctors, and Patients together, it adds more work on the Doctors and Insurers, plus everyone else in the health care industry like me. We are maintaining separate systems that can never touch one another even if we have the same patients, same doctors, same Hospitals, and same Insurers, because the current rules of HIPAA maintain that we must separate the records and add several layers of "Security" to prevent "outside" access. Sure patients look at it like, we get a piece of paper every year that looks fancy. However, processing payments is a hassle and crazy complex on my side. The only care providers, who can integrate without delays in payments, are multi-billion dollar Insurance Hospital Networks, who do everything.
Even with that, I would never argue for a shutdown.
To Link the Shutdown of the government with Helping the Elderly is BULLSHIT !
