It's so easy to be worn down by the world.  There are so many bad stories, a crushing amount of awful news, that it is just overwhelming if you allow it.

So I tend to find and focus on the possible good that people can do.

I'll stop here.  The story speaks for itself.

I saw a lot of evil in my time as a police officer. I saw much less good. Things rarely move me, but this selfless offer done out of love, has.

I'm glad it touched you.  These stories are out there... there's good in the world.  It's just rarely "newsworthy", and we don't get to see them.  I know in your life you've seen some awful things.  You're right - people can be terrible.

But... they can be so good too.

That's what gets me through.
