Mogul has distinct etymologies depending on usage.

The Persian Mughal was used by the Muslim rulers of India and this Mogul is always capitalized. When used for a powerful person, it is not.

The German dialect (Viennese) mugl, small hill, is a bump in a ski run or ramp.

A less seen use of Mogul is a steam engine with six driving wheels and two leading ones.

Hollywood is infamous for its lecherous moguls and their casting couches. That has to be a symptom of the cultural rot that’s set in there and why they haven’t had a big hit or even modesty original movie for several years now. It’s all sequels, reimaginings, remakes, or regurgitations of older movies that weren’t all that to start with.

As a teenager, I was almost a skier. Mediocre was the height of my ability. I never attempted any steep slope with moguls because I never learned how to do the turn necessary to weave through those tightly packed mounds of snow.
