Yes I found the same when I started searching. I ended up with more information than I needed to know about the Wasserman group of companies started by the late Lew Wasserman.

I see that everyone has given various meanings for the surname Wassermann, but you've missed the obvious.  It came about because it was the term used to describe a water carrier.  Sounds like a fun job, or should I say boring.  It's similar to the surname Zimmerman, which came about because it referred to a carpenter in German.

Perfectly correct, which is also the connection between wassermann and Aquarius which is Latin for "water carrier".
