According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the adjective "ubiquitous" was first used in English in 1772, in James Macpherson's "Remarks on an Introduction to the History of Great Britain and Ireland". The specific quote cited is: "When we think him [sc. God] in some matter straitned, or abdridged of room, for his Omnipresence, on the supposition of his essence not pervading this ubiquitous nothing, we seem to forget who he is."
