In my old age I don't have that distraction problem. I'm real nearsighted and with my glasses, I can only see directly in front. It's kinda like wearing blinders like they put on plow mules.

Downside is that if I look at someone, I look directly at them. None of those coy out-of-the-corner of my eye looks for me.

I don't recommend it- becoming very near sighted that is.

I work at a call center(people think we're telemarketers but not really).. and sometimes I just can't help but look at this cute guy I work with... so I end up leaving messages on people's answering machines like.. Ow, that has to hurt. I NEARLY did something similar to that only instead of a nail it was a flat head screwdriver, wow those things are dangerous, it just nicked the side of my hand but if it had been to the left just a bit more.... well you get the idea.

Get better soon, and next time, how about you put the power tools down next time there is a cute guy around, at the rate you are going it might save you a limb, or at least alot of pain and trips to the emergency room.
