For those who have not read it, I have a brief discussion of major characters and my motivations as an author.

Julian, the main character in the story, has extraordinary power, and he is only eighteen. His whole life has been shrouded in mystery to him, and he has no idea just how powerful he really is. Additionally, he has grown up without his mother, and his aunt and uncle have hidden a lot from him. As he discovers the truth about his past and his power, he struggles to accept who he really is.
