Really nice story there... and that Kawaii is one of my fav places on this planet doesn't hurt either ;-). Oh, and i love indian food and spices a lot too ! You can easily home-make Ghee yourself. You don't need to start with fresh milk to make butter and then clarify the butter ... you can start with normal butter which shouldnt be a problem getting, and then clarify it by cooking it slowly http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarified_butter. You cook it (without burning it ;-)) to vaporize the water in it, and the solid particles (proteins i think) can be filtered or are separated because they sink to the ground... I am sure you can find links to recipes how to do it as well - but its actually rather easy to do
