BeaStKid Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 For those of you who can understand Hindi, this is a wonderful show that gives an insight on what the gays in India hav to go through. http://features.ibnlive.com/view/49225/0.html The BeaStKid
Adrian Michaels Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Um, I watched it, but didn't understand anything besides the snippits of English. But it seemed very emotional. I would have liked to see an English version (If there is such a thing)
BeaStKid Posted September 27, 2007 Author Posted September 27, 2007 Um, I watched it, but didn't understand anything besides the snippits of English. But it seemed very emotional. I would have liked to see an English version (If there is such a thing) Well, since the show was aired on a Hindi news channel, it is not possible to find an English version of the same. Sorry.
Adrian Michaels Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 hmm too bad. I seemed very interesting though!
AFriendlyFace Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 hmm too bad. I seemed very interesting though! It did look interesting! Hmm, perhaps we can persuade BeastKid to teach us Hindi!
colinian Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 It did look interesting! Hmm, perhaps we can persuade BeastKid to teach us Hindi! Or, perhaps have him translate the most important parts of the show? Colin
AFriendlyFace Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Or, perhaps have him translate the most important parts of the show? LOL, well that certainly sounds easier, but I'm reminded of the old adage: "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day, Teach a man to fish, feed him for life" ...besides I like learnin' new stuff
BeaStKid Posted September 28, 2007 Author Posted September 28, 2007 It did look interesting! Hmm, perhaps we can persuade BeastKid to teach us Hindi! I'd like that, but how am I supposed to do that is out of my grasp... Or, perhaps have him translate the most important parts of the show? Colin Ouch! Translating an entire show is something I can't do, even if I am good at Hindi. LOL, well that certainly sounds easier, but I'm reminded of the old adage: "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day, Teach a man to fish, feed him for life" ...besides I like learnin' new stuff Now here is a person right after my heart. (I hope I used the correct thing)
AFriendlyFace Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Now here is a person right after my heart. (I hope I used the correct thing) You did, in fact I wouldn't have even noticed it wasn't worded exactly the standard way had you not said anything. The phrase is "A man(or whomever) after my own heart". So yeah, definitely close enough
glomph Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 perhaps we can persuade BeastKid to teach us Hindi! That could be really helpful if you ever need to call computer tech support.
BeaStKid Posted September 30, 2007 Author Posted September 30, 2007 That could be really helpful if you ever need to call computer tech support. LOL...Hey! Those guys do know how to speak English!!
D Writes Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Beasty, why not you translate half the show and I do the remaining part?? I think we should let the world know what happens here (the gay world atleast ) PS. the guy (Sunil Menon) in the show speaks very rudimentary Hindi

I think we should let the world know what happens here (the gay world atleast ) PS. the guy (Sunil Menon) in the show speaks very rudimentary Hindi Would that be possible?? I mean how that would amount to writing a whole story. I'll see what i can do. The only time I can access youtube is at school. And tomorrow being a holiday, it comes down to Wednesday. The BeaStKid P.S How did you find the show?

I even like DD News and Headlines Today along with Times Now. All of them are quality news channels and not the crap like India TV and Aaj Tak.
