pitchan Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 I've read 'The Grass is Singing' before. Had to cause it was part of my english class studies in high school. Found it so incredibly depressing. I dont particularly like her books, but its so funny to see how she reacts to the news of her winning the Nobel.
NickolasJames8 Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 That rules. I wonder what the Nobel Prize people were thinking when they saw her reaction
Jack Scribe Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 ...its so funny to see how she reacts to the news of her winning the Nobel. Hilarious! Without getting into politics, it would be a hoot to see Al Gore react the same way. Jack
Adrian Michaels Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Aw, that was wonderful. I she looks like the nicest lady. Like a cute little grandma. I would probably react that way too!
Menzoberranzen Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 I love this woman. Now that both Al Gore and Yassar Arafat have won the peace prize, my respect for the whole organization has dropped considerably.
CarlHoliday Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 A remarkable woman and a writer on my must read list who probably recognizes there's hell to pay now. Getting the Nobel moves you up a couple notches on the notoriety scale and she was right on with that wonderful statement. Carl
A man on the moon Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 (edited) Thats funny, although who wouldnt react that way? Edited October 14, 2007 by A man on the moon
AFriendlyFace Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Thats funny, although who wouldnt react that way? LOL, well my own personal reaction would have probably been more in line with "Ohhh! How nice!" But I suppose it's all a matter of perspectives.
Menzoberranzen Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 LOL, well my own personal reaction would have probably been more in line with "Ohhh! How nice!" But I suppose it's all a matter of perspectives. That's because you're a nice person who isn't old, bitter and jaded
AFriendlyFace Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 (edited) That's because you're a nice person who isn't old, bitter and jaded Awww Thanks, Menzo! I think you're nice and not old, bitter, or jaded too Edited October 14, 2007 by AFriendlyFace
Menzoberranzen Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Awww Thanks, Menzo! I think you're nice and not old, bitter, or jaded too I'm younger than you, geezer And thanks for saying I'm nice; it's not usually listed as one of my more prominent attributes
Adrian Michaels Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I think that needs to be the new responce for whenever something good happens to you "Congrats! You just aced the midterm!" "Oh Christ."
ashessnow Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I think that needs to be the new responce for whenever something good happens to you "Congrats! You just aced the midterm!" "Oh Christ." God, just thinking about it makes me laugh. And you're totally right, from here on out, "Oh Christ" it is!
Adrian Michaels Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Yay! We'll start a new trend that will sweep the nation. And it will be better than Crocs or Ugg Boots. (Because really, it would be almost impossible not to be."
