Gandalf Lyonn Posted November 8, 2003 Posted November 8, 2003 Hey Guys, I'm stuck in my Harry Potter Hogwarts Year One fic that's posted on fanfiction. I need to know if anyone knows if they dress up and go trick or treating in England. Thanks. Gandalf
Freedom55 Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 It is my understanding that Hallowe'en has become increasingly popular since the World War, but I am not certain that trick or treating is common. Kids will take any excuse to dress up, so I imagine parties may be around. If its a Harry Potter fanfic, I wouldn't worry about whether it is common in the Muggle world. Former Member Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 Trick and treating does occur in england but this year it has been very quiet. The Boys oppersite were not out this year. but they should be around caroling at Christmas. Talking to collegues at work one who lives in Birmingham complained that he had a carrier bag full of sweets left over.
Gandalf Lyonn Posted November 12, 2003 Author Posted November 12, 2003 Thanks aswestrian, We didn't have many trick or treater here in St. Louis either. Gandalf
