Tiger Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I have never used Opera. I am set in my ways, and I don't see myself switching. Wow... the majority is still using XP? I guess people still don't like Vista. I am used to it personally. I particularly like the menu set-up. Just type in what you want and before you even finish typing, you find what you want. The Control Panel is the only part I still don't like.
hh5 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 g-chrome is pretty efficient I haven't had much issues using it I do see FireFox having issues with so many tabs even lest than 10 of them I still use firefox when chrome isn't doing what I want I still have ie8 - I would not want to hit something like a JERRY CLUMP special
paya Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I used FF for a long time, occasionally I flirted with Opera (7, 8, maybe also 9), now I downloaded and installed Opera 10 and I'm quite amazed. With last edition of Firefox, I think it was FF 3.5, I had a lot of problems because of crashes. Once I launched FF, it started to gorge the memory used and then it crashed. It took several hours before it crashed but I'm used that my laptop is on-line almost 24/7, so these crashes were quite frequent, three or more times a day. Now I'm testing Opera and the memory used even dropped after some hours of running! So I synchronized my bookmarks, customized the Speed Dial (according to my Bookmark Bar in FF) and I think I'm moving to Opera... It's definitely more stable and it seems quicker than FF.
