A message on the archerland website says it closed on December 1, 2009 . Good luck to Nick. I'm so glad GA continually takes steps to be viable, sustainable, and be a resource for years to come. As Myr has pointed out many times, it's difficult for one person to maintain a story site.

As Myr has pointed out many times, it's difficult for one person to maintain a story site. It is difficult for one person, which is why it's great to see a team here at GA. Nick Archer is a great guy. Even with Archerland closed, his contribution to this genre is so great it is hard to quantify.
