AFriendlyFace Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Yes I think you are all right about Marrissa's motives and feelings, they probably are largely selfish, BUT let's not forget they really were friends since childhood, there's almost no way she doesn't care for him, unless she's totally heartless. And of all the people that are supposed to be close to him, he has blown her off the most (OK I can see why, but still). So lets just hope that maybe somehow she'll surprise us all and be cool with it, or something. Anyway I can't wait to read chapter 20. You guys are all great, and Dom's writing rocks! have a great night/day all!
shadows Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Yeah, honestly, I think we're being overly harsh to Mar. She was accused of being a lesbian and she didn't go into total meltdown like Quinn has going all self-destructive. The way we've seen trina act, I'm not so certain there wasn't something else going on between them... Quinn has been a total arse towards her. He's blown her off despite her repeated attempts to be downright friendly! He's ignored their relationship and she's still her trying her damndest to reconcile whatever has come between them. Right now, she's one of the best friends Quinn has. I mean read that last paragraph! She doesn't even bring up the fact she saw Quinn and Jude together until he practically forces her to. But even when she mentions that she saw him kissing a guy she still wants to talk. SHE WANTS TO TALK! She doesn't reject him out of hand. That's worth a brownie point in my book. Admittedly, she's no saint, and she has her flaws. But then so does pretty much everyone in this story. She's too obsessed with her social standing but every other character has a flaw be it emotional or physical and Quinn has enough to keep a grad student in psychology happy. Now that I've completed my defense of Mar, let's watch as Dom shows her to be an evil, conniving, manipulative, heartless witch. //shadows P.S. Sorry for the typos and or mixed-up names. I'm tired and the bashing of Mar has gone far enough. Somebody needs to stand up for her.
Bao Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 well i guess she need loving too. lol i think she already knew that quinn is gay... cause i guess that is why she never pushed him and act differently around other guys.... so thats my 2 cent

Somebody needs to stand up for her. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's our shadows, defender of the heartless bitch . (of course I have the hindsight of chapter 20). :king: Snow Dog P.S. Hmm, that came off a bit harsher and less funny than I meant it. Oh well.
