I mentioned this series to Myr earlier.

This isn't a gay fiction, however, Callander does an excellent job of explaining the magic in his world. It is a wonderful series.

There's also a fifth one called Marbleheart, but I've never read that one. (I did buy it though but it's been sitting on my shelf for years. . . I'll have to get around to it )
