HELP with Logo Design

Basically, I'm an idiot ... I can make simple web pages with Netscape Composer, but I have no idea how to make logos (and don't even have the software to do so even if I did) ... so anywho, I'm hoping that there is some kind soul out there who would be willing to help me make two logos ... one banner for the top of a page I'm working on, and one smaller one for the story I'm working on ... of course you'd be given credit for your work on the page.

 

Anyway, if you'd be willing to help, please PM me and I can let you know more specifically what I'm looking for (which isn't that much, I just need something simple).
