Zombie Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 (edited) He was my Dad’s favourite author - he read every book as it came out le Carré / Cornwell attributed his success to Ian Fleming, saying the Bond books whetted the public appetite for spy stories. This underplays the immense influence his writing has had on the whole spy genre but the real reason, as ever, is good stories well written Edited December 14, 2020 by Zombie 1
