Sports is a touchy topic, but I hope folks can be happy about results coming in

As of 7/31/2021, LGBTQ+ athletes have won a total of 15 medals and if the community were a recognized nation, be 8th in total medal counts ahead of France, so far. Outsports is keeping a running tally:

It's amazing, even if you don't watch all the events, it shows off the variety of abilities and competitive athleticism

With the 2021 Olympics over, the fine tally is:

Gold = 11

Silver = 12

Bronze = 9

In total, LGBTQ athletes if measured like a nation, would rank 7th in overall gold medals and 11th in total counts at Olympics.

It's a an accomplishment for "out Athletes".

This story made me feel happy for the future. Still a long ways to go, but they definitely brought attention around the world about their life :), and to a certain extent, their struggle.
