I hate to bring this up, but there's a discrepancy between chapter 23 and chapter 16.

 

In chapter 16, when Kevin was snuggling on the couch with his friend, Justin, we have this dialog:

I loved this chapter. Finally Kevin and his dad made peace.

 

The dialogs between Kevin and his father were so emotional and so real that I had to choke back tears when I was reading it. One of the most brilliant details was when Kevin

I hate to bring this up, but there's a discrepancy between chapter 23 and chapter 16.

 

In chapter 16, when Kevin was snuggling on the couch with his friend, Justin, we have this dialog:

 

In other words, Keven hadn't told anyone he was gay before and he wasn't really aware of it himself.

 

I thought about this and I thought about this and Nick is way too clever to make an error like that. If you read the quote from Chapter 23 again, notice that Kevin seemed to have gone through such a traumatic experience that he repressed the memory of his gayness as a self defence mechanism.

That was a very moving chapter. I am glad that he finally got the nerve and did tell his dad. I agree the he had supressed a lot of things in his mind and coming out made them all come back to him.
