Hell In Heavens Disguise

He left her waiting

He left her debating

He left her sighing in vain

He left her, writhing in pain

He left her scarred

He left her jarred

He left her gasping

He left her grasping

For a hint of the norm

For fragmented thoughts to fully form

He left her there, staring at the sun

She wondered, did it end, or had it begun?

He left her exposed, swimming in thought

To be covered in cold, burning with hot

He left alone, shaking her head

Hopelessly forgetting all the things he said

He left her, wishing it'd be like before

Before he picked this monumentous sore

Leaving her blank, her thoughts all but silent

He left her shaking, incredibly violent

He left her, wishing to God this hadn't started

Wondering, should she be broken hearted ?

He left her feeling used

Not sure if she should feel abused

He left her, dangerously in love

He forced her underwater with a violent shove

He left her there, with tears in her eyes

He left her there, to wallow in his lies

She lay there listlessly, her thoughts in disarray

Not sure what to think, not sure what to say

She now had a thought, they were all right

She was too young to be in his sight

She would just leave him behind

See what she wanted, needed to find

So in her head, she said her goodbye's

And left this hell in heavans disguise

I don't like him

It's an excellent poem about break up and heartbreak! I'm a bit confused by the ending though. It sounded like she had decided that she was going to be okay...then the last line made me wonder if perhaps she'd killed herself?

Anyway, good job :)
