Before for my comments TODAY, THE MINNESOTA SENATE PASSED THE EQUAL MARRIAGE BILL!! TOMORROW, GOV. DAYTON WILL SIGN IT INTO LAW!! MINNESOTA IS THE 12TH STATE TO HAVE GAY MARRIAGE!! I am very proud of Minnesota!! Only six months ago the voters defeated a protection of marriage amendment. Back to CAP. Over the years I have read the saga so many times I can not count. The last two chapters 7, 8 are my favorite, and that is saying a lot. Together they tell us almost everything about this story. Drama and conflict, loyally and love, right and wrong. Who could ask for any more. As I said in my review having JP back was like a visit from a old and dear friend. I have missed him. I have a feeling we will have a rocky road for a while, It's too bad Tonto wasn't there. She would have only been 98. I think JP proved himself as the head of the family. I thought Will's call was touching. Who will be JP's heir? Will? or the only other one could be Wade. It depends if blood is that important. In these two chapters Mark has so skillfully crafted the dialog that I thought I was there in the dinning room seeing the action. This is Mark at his best.

I need to add my voice to the chorus, it was good to have JP back. I forgive him, I thought he didn't get it, I was wrong. I saw the careful, loving person he is. I think the punishment is fair. Will understands and has learned However I worry about the Hoberts. Jack is blinded by his wife and daughter. Knowing that Will called and is going to Ohio says so much. Mark, bringing back JP was a gift to all of us. Only JP can show us the big picture with calm reserve his message rings clear without emotion but not without passion. If Will can control he emotions he could be the leader which JP is looking for. Thanks again this chapter was like David said a visit from a dear friend who has been gone for far to long.

I was going to do this as a review but the system wouldn't let me. BEFORE THAT I WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNECE THAT THE MINNESOTA STATE HOUSE PASSED THE EQUAL MARRAGE LAW. Monday THE STATE SENATE WILL PASS IT AND GOV. DAYTON WITH SIGN IT INTO LAW ON TUESDAY!! In November Minnesota voters defeated a protection of marriage amendment. Way to go!!! Back to George. What is very unusual is that the new passenger and a good friend of mine are related. Frank's ( my friend) family came to this country in 1620, when the Dutch were still in New York. Small world. Again I am reminded that George is only in his early 20's. I think what is so appealing about him is he is so cute and so smart. Thanks for the new chapter. Sometimes we get into CAP so much we forget how great George is. Mark, I hope your readers understand how much harder it is to write this story. Thank you again for taking the time and effort to bring it to us.

I normally agree with David and do with most of what he said, but Noah should not have been removed without talking to Will first. Period. If he had added lots of people but he only added two. TWO. I think that shows how important they were to him. This is not Will's party, but it is not Isidore or Claire's party. It is a family party. Back to Carter and Eric. I assume that attacks like what happened to Darius and Will don't happen all the time. The one with Eric happened only feet away from the room they were eating. First if my son had attacked my hosts grandson, he would not be at the party and I might not attained either. What bugs me is the double stand Marie is not comfortable with Noah so he can't come but Will and Darius's attackers can. What is wrong with that picture? Will in 14 going on 30, but at least he knows what is right and wrong, like his great grandmother.

Chapter 7 started a fight which has been hiding for some time. First you know I am in Will's corner. I defended him long ago when he was out of control, now he is right on. Will is still that person who believes in black and white no grey. JP talked about Will being like Tonto. Maybe now he wishes he hadn't. Tonto was a woman who was ready to take on the whole US government for sending the Japanese Americans to inturnment camps. Will pulled out the mirror and showed most of the family something they don't want to see. I think there is lots of guilt to go around. Isidore must have known about Eric. Will was attacked in her own home. How many of her grandchildren get attacked in her house? Guilty! Claire Must again know about Eric and maybe Carter too. She didn't press Marie for the apology to Will and why Marie didn't want Noah around. If you had a daughter woundn't you ask why she didn't want Noah around? Guilty!! Marie should be banded from the party, forced to work at the Mission all summer. Maybe she'd learn something. Real Guilty!!! JP is so into the form that he looses the message. I can only hope the invocation of Tonto will make him see right. Who have been the loyal members of this family and who have not? As JJ said Will was a dick and what he said was and needed to be said. Yes JP guilty too. I hope Stef decides to leave town too. Let the rotten members go to Ohio. Their punishment.

Wow!! When Mark said this chapter would be a difficult one I thought It was Dana who would cause the trouble. This may cause a lot of trouble for a long time in the family. Will was right. Maybe he could have said it more tackfully but what he said was right on. I am wondering if this will cause Stef and JP trouble. Stef understands the truth. I am surprised that Isidore reacted the way she did. Claire and Jack are put in the difficult place. Their daughter, Marie, has been rude to Will's friend very rude, Marie can't say she is sorry to Will or Noah. Clearly she is wrong. Now It as come to a point that just saying sorry will not heal the situation. If Tonto was still alive I wonder whose faces would have been slapped? Honestly, the only people who I was happy with were Will, JJ, and Stef. JP let me down. He should know better. I think they should cancel the party and maybe go out to dinner from now on. Great job Mark, you have a way of keeping everyone guessing.

I was thinking how much Will has grown, learning from his mistakes and now that his life is straightened out, how much he cares about people. The Will of a year ago would not have brought Hank a truck, or ever more important shared the credit with his brothers. From wanting nothing to do with his mother to now trying to make sure she is happy and protected. Last year Will could not handle breaking up with Bert now if things don't work with Tony he can survive. I like this Will, better than the new Good work Mark!!! Great chapter!!!

Normally, after reading the new chapter twice, I try to write a review. This time, however, I waited to think about what has happened in these four chapters and what has happened to this young man whom I have grown to love. Will has grown in so many ways in the last year. Here again we see him growing. He could have rejected Hank thought of her as a gold digger, but no he tried to understand her, make friends with her and now when leaving for Europe showed how much he cared about her and his mother. He has come a long way in dealing with Jeanine. Now with the drama behind him at least for the moment he can become a truly loving son. With that done, or at least begun. He now takes on Tony. Tony is a troubled soul. Haunted by his father, haunted by his father's early death, haunted by Jake. What kind of person could he become? We all agree Tony needs a lot of help. Is Will the person to provide that support? I think he can be. Only time will tell if these two are soul mates which they both are looking for. I sit back and think of Sam's son and JP's grandson, but more than that they maybe be good for each other. We'll see. Thanks again Mark!!

This chapter has brought us two people I don't trust and nether should Will. Julian and Hank are out for their selves, Watch out Will! I am voting for them to be in the twin towers. If something would happen to Jeanine, Will would be Maddy's closest relative. Could he be her guardian. Slowly Mark is setting the stage. Who will live and who will die? Again a great chapter! I can't wait to see what happens next.

I agree with David, Marie has broken one of the basic rules of the family. Everyone knows that Claire wasn't sick. She needed to get Marie out of there and read her the riot act. After John did the right thing it should have followed for Marie to do also. Claire is tuned in to her father. JP could have been about to say something which Marie maybe would not forget for a long time. On the second point I also agree with David. Will is maturing a piece at a time. It is not reasonable to think he would be all grown up. He is not the full grown Venus on a clam shell. I admit I have defended Will in the past. Time which given his actions may have been difficult to do. This last chapter shows us his adult thinking. Both Tony and Keith came to him. Again if a hot young man was at your door it would to hard to say no. For a almost 15 yo gay boy it would be even harder. If you think of all the things he has done since he moved to Paly, I think he has done really well.

We forget Will is a work in progress, Some of him is more mature than other part. Given everything I think he is doing pretty good. Since the Hoberts were at dinner he need to clear up things. Sometime saying your sorry is the hardest thing to do. John stepped up and did that and Will forgave him. Marie however has come to think of herself as perfect therefore can do no wrong. I have a feeling that them they get home Marie will find out she is not perfect not even close, Claire with set her straight, you do not treat family like she did, and it must never happen again. Jeanine going back to New Jersey just across the river from the towers living with a policeman sets things up for the day. Who will be in NYC in September? JJ and Will maybe at JJ's meet. They could to traveling back on 9 11. All the pieces will come together. It is good to see the brothers in a better place. Hopefully that will continue. It is interested that during the month we were without an active CAP story, I felt something was missing now I don't feel that way. I think to many of your readers these stories have become part of their lives. That I a tribute to Mark and his team. Thanks Mark for all your hard work.

Sorry to be a downer but after seeing the news and the death of the young boy in Boston the whole 9 11 horror returned. I remember seeing the plane hit the second tower, thinking it was a movie. Later when the towers fell I couldn't believe it. In 1995 I had gone to NYC and see them. How could this happen here in America? When I got to work that day, they sent us home. We were on the FBI hit list. As the CAP world approuches the date I feel the same dread I felt in CAP on Nov 22, 1963. What is wrong with this world that these things happen over and over again? Good luck Mark This will e hard to cover.

Again Mark I agree with you, Will sees that he is responsible for his actions, not others. The idea that having sex with someone in a relationship is not wrong as much as unwise. Next time he will learn from this and not be involved in relationships like this. On another point, why were Marie and John talking about the situation in public? If Stef finds out they will be in the dog house. Last, I agree with David, JP is the only one who can handle that horrible day. Along with Ella, Brad could be in NYC during the attack. Will would be in school at that time so he's safe. Darius could be visiting Ella depending when UCLA starts. Again Matt and Wade would be starting their last year at Sanford. Senator Danfield and or Nana could be in Washington. If I remember all planes were grounded for a number of days after the attack and communications were bad also. Mark handled the Kennedy Assassination perfectly. I am such he will handle this great too.

Knowing that Cap is back is in some ways very comforting. Will has always been fun.. I think Will is trying to be his own person, and not like his father, who controls or tries to control every thing and everyone. I have a feeling Will's injury is going to introduce us to something else more interesting. Thank you Mark for bringing them back! Wonderful chapter!!

If Luke is Hot Jeff then Jeff really is hot.!! How far is Sydney? Yum!!
-
Now please!!
-
I still vote or Jeff or Jeff and Will or JP and Will.
-
Logic would say that Stef or Brad would be in New York for 9 11. Maybe Robbie too. Wade and Matt could be checking out grad schools. The Senator could be having a meeting with someone at the Pentagon. I am hoping no one of the family gets killed. Stef would be hard to lose. If anything Brad and Robbie couldn't die separate cause they wouldn't be able to continue on. Brad maybe, not Robbie. People like Ace Cassy. However, I vote for Wade's mother.
-
We sometimes forget Mark has a life beyond the CAP world.
-
It is something truly noble about the return of the midshipman to his father. I think George has always had a fondness for the Spanish. They seem for civilized than the French. It is good to see our Hero back in action. May he have a safe, and prosperous journey.

I was thinking of the next book. It will be hard to follow Paternity Two thoughts arise. The first Narrators JP and Will. Very few people could stay calm on such a terrible day. The second is Brothers the story of sets of brothers Will, JJ, Jeff Ryan and maybe others. We had a story about fathers and sons now the interaction of brothers as they grow up. What are your thoughts?
-
JP, I love JP. JP and Will?
-
Wow!! You really don't like JJ do you. I've been thinking about who should be the next narrator of the next book? I it is to be shared Will, he is just fun. I am thinking Will and Jeff. We could get more back story on Jeff and continue the progress of Will. Thanks again for the wonderful story. Words can not express how much it has meant to me.

Chapter 100: Final Chapter
rjo commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Chapter 100: Final Chapter
We have come to the end of this part of the story. That is so sad. But what a ending! Perfect, simple but unbelievablely moving. A father and son united at last, and other fathers and sons brought closer. Mark you're the best!!
