He can, yes, but it doesn't work with people. And tbh if it did I think he'd end up killing them. There's a special thing in az-ari blood called preo that makes them be able to do this stuff

Ain's heart decided that Fenn is husband, he just needs to deal with some baggage left over. Shockingly, they will talk about it soon.
-
That would be really cool, but unfortunately no. The only reason Ain can share his is because he's bending light and light affects everything. Fenn can be a shadow through something within him that he can't really share.

Ainreth had been enjoying this trip immensely so far. He had been alone with Fenn for long periods of time since he'd met him and brought him to Kyr-Toryl, but there was something very different about that and being out in the wilderness like this with no one for miles. And sure, they had stopped for the night at a military base or two that were dotting the mountain region above the capital, but that was still the majority of the day spent alone with Fenn. Ain had been a bit worried about h

He's demonstrated he can at the very least stop someone from moving/doing anything. I think that's not high risk

They're gonna leave the horses behind, but I'm sure if it came to it Ain would try to keep them invisible the whole time somehow too 😁 Moonlight sort of works but not really, technically stuff like torches would do something too, but it's not a powerful enough light source.
-
Yes, also seeing Ain be dadly is devastatingly difficult for him not to swoon over
-
A very good question, Ain isn't responsible with his alcohol 😅
-
They assume if that happens Fenn can handle her to hold her off at least
-
Wise words, and definitely what Ain needs too. He needs to clean up his act first

Fennrin frowned in concentration, shrinking the shadow of the pencil on the table in front of him, watching it lift off the wooden surface slowly, flying up further as he made the shadow smaller and smaller until it was levitating right in front of his face before he started making the shadow gradually bigger, letting it gently settle on the table again. He'd been training how to modify shadows for a week now, among other things. He had wanted to start training sword fighting with Ainreth,

26, Ain is 4 years older

He'll brighten up alright but horrors come in book 2 🫠

I kick around, I just don't always have something witty to add 😅
-
That would have been really cute, now I kinda wanna add an extra epilogue for that to book 3

Fennrin had no idea what to make of Ainreth. On one hand, the man seemed rather rude to the people around him, and on the other, he seemed to care a whole lot. It made no sense to him. The way Ainreth treated Petre was a perfect example of this. He didn't remember the family name of his lieutenant, and yet he treated them in such a generally positive way. Fennrin didn't get it at all. It was all just very strange. But he supposed it didn't really matter. As long as Ainreth didn't treat

Despite his sour mood about having to have been in the presence of Daryan Varilik, Ainreth was giddy about the rest of the day because now he got to spend time with Fenn. Fennrin said he wanted to look at those books about shadowforgers, which wouldn't have been an activity Ain would have chosen—more interested in taking Fenn to an inn, maybe getting something for lunch—but honestly, he didn't care that much as long as Fenn was present. Ain couldn't help but sneak glances at him whenever th

If you mean related by blood, then no, but there is definitely history...
-
It will become apparent why Ain doesn't like him, don't worry 🫠

Fennrin kept his head down as they entered the palace. If he had felt out of place before, now that feeling was on a different level. He tried not to think about this much, though, as it certainly didn't help him feel less anxious. The thought of soon meeting one of the leaders of Lys-Akkaria made his insides twist in on themselves. How could he possibly prepare for that, even if he had been given time? Fennrin wasn't even certain if whatever first impression he made on the Bulwark would me

Glad to hear it, there's plenty more coming ☺️

For some reason, Fennrin hadn't expected Ainreth to have come here using a carriage, but when he thought about it more, it made sense. If Ainreth had come here for him specifically, then a carriage would work better than alternatives. However, that didn't mean Fennrin was too happy about this. He hadn't ridden in a carriage since his parents had disowned him, and anything reminding him of his old life always put him in a foul mood. That said, this carriage was much more luxurious than any h

Fennrin hated a lot about his miserable life, but especially the part where he was forced to wait for his meager pay. His employer, Ankyr Tyr-Pentar, always did this, forcing Fennrin to practically beg for the few coins he got each week, as if he didn't more than earn them. As if using his power to make shadow puppets for the man every day, four hours and hours wasn't enough to get him enough money to be able to afford enough food to not go to bed hungry. He'd seen how much money each of th

Thank you! Hope you enjoy when you do 😊 I'll write about more dragons, endlessly

Thank you! Decided to go with that
