Great story. I loved how you mentioned Piers Anthony right off because your story did slightly remind me of the Incarnations of Immortality series with your characters stepping in to take over the various immortal positions. I enjoyed the relationship between Nemesis and Gary with all its emotional challenges, especially having to deal with the darker side of mankind and trying to learn how to do their jobs. And the great characters that were added throughout their journey really created a deeper insight into the complexities of their task and the support they need to do them. Every one of these characters really added to your story and each would make an interesting side story on their own. I'm looking forward to reading more stories set in this world you created.

I enjoyed this story concept with its discordant personalities, transdimensional house, dragon subjugation and mystery to solve. It started out a little slow for me but it finally picked up and hooked me in. I liked the treasure hunt feel of the steps to solve the mystery. You kept me guessing. I'm glad we got some of the backgrounds stories for the characters. It brought more depth to them.

Great, story. I’m a sucker for a happy ending. I'm with everyone else - I love Jake, and I like your positive approach to his coming out as the winner with his OCD. The emotional depiction for both Paul and Jake was excellent and had me empathizing every step of the way.
