    Gordy Comes Home

What an emotional rollercoaster you took us on. Fantastic job of describing inner turmoil whether it be about love, self identity, self doubt or loss. I had to drag out the tissue when reading several passages. I had a feeling Gordie was coming home in a coffin but hoped I was wrong throughout most of the story. John's outburst about all the lies was great. What would have happened if there had been more communication instead of silence and half truths? Loved the characters and their depth (was sorry to see the death of any of them) as well as the flow and pacing of the story. Bravo.
  15. What a wonderful story that pulls you in and makes you feel anticipation as it leads you through anger, regret, self acceptance and forgiveness. I was so relieved when Luke stayed and did not walk away even after 4 years of what most would feel was an irrevocably damaged relationship. This is one story that I will be reading several more times.
  16. Thank you Dan for going ahead with posting the Epilogue to The Rider's Pride. It was wonderfully poignant end that reflected the loss that results from fighting any kind of war. Along with you, I think many of us shed a few tears. I have to agree with several of the other posters that the line "I miss him. Liliath said sadly. Can we go find him? I cannot hear him." grabbed your heart and said everything about loss. I thought The Rider's Pride was fantastic additon to McCaffrey's world of Pern, a series I've read numerous times. I think you captured the essence of that world while giving us a new look through your engaging characters and storyline. I'm hoping that you'll one day revisit Pern and give us another tale that will captivate us once again. Rockyroads
  17. This has been such a good story and it looks like it's had a lot of interest. I read the posting that said that you just haven't been motivated and the one where you promised a chapter by Sep. 2009. It's now Feb 2010. Maybe you can keep pace with the Olympics, at least. One chapter every 2 years? Please don't abandon your story or your fans. Too many authors have done that. Take care, Rockyroads
