Thanks very much for the review. I'm actually working on a new chapter

    Chapter 9

“No.” Even as I said the word, I allowed myself to daydream. Of Mich, being with him and all the wonderful things his offer entailed. A dream come true. I deserved it, didn’t I? Yes. Um, no? Yes. Looking back on my past, the inner me agreed. For once, I could be truly happy without any condition. But alas, my damned logic prevailed. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Mich couldn’t be gay. Absolutely no way. I made him gay? The realization hit me hard. Strong emotions overwhelmed me—guilt, fear, melancho

    Chapter 8

“What’s with the scowl this early in the morning?” I stopped looking out the car window. Mich picked me up from my apartment—again—and we were on our way to school. More than anything, I wished I could be as far away from him as possible. It was the only way I could think of for me to get over my feelings for him. Moving to another continent would help. Big time. But how would I do that when I had school? “The inside of your car stinks.” Seeing him frown made me feel worse. You’re hopeless

    Chapter 7

Groggy and disoriented, Mich’s sleeping form on a chair—my chair in my room—greeted me when I opened my eyes. How did I come to be here? I tried to remember what had happened, but stopped when the room swirled. Bad idea, Coop. My hand made contact with a damp towel when I placed it on my forehead. Ok, how did that get there? Why would I go to sleep with this on my head? I grabbed what I could of the towel and hung it on the bedpost. Focusing my attention on Mich again, I studied his handso

    Chapter 6

“Come here, Coop.” Mich beckoned me to his bed. What did he want now? Eyeing the mischievous smile playing at his lips, I cautiously sat beside him. Gazing up, I noticed a weird glint in his eyes. I frowned. “Is there something wrong?” I asked. “Yes.” My heart stopped beating and a deafening silence engulfed me. Does he know about my feelings for him? My longing? How did he know? What would he do about it? As if he heard my last question, he leaned closer to me. I leaned backwa

    Chapter 5

“Well, hello to you too, Coop.” Sarcasm suited him well. How could it not? That must have been the sexiest half-smile I’d ever seen in my life! “Hello,” I hurriedly said, “but what are you doing here?” “My you’re so welcoming.” He scanned my face. I didn’t dare gaze into his eyes, but didn’t look away either. “Can I at least come in first?” No. “Um, come in.” It was supposed to be an invitation, but came out more as a question. With a weary step, he crossed the threshold. I motioned for

    Chapter 4

If I got more pathetic, I’d need counseling. I mean, I didn’t go to school because of what? A stupid crush? Ok, there was more to it than just that, but I wasn’t ready to face the issue of my sexuality yet. Not then, not now. Not ever? ‘It’s just a crush,’ my practical side said, ‘everybody gets them.’ ‘Yeah,’ answered my logical side, ‘except that it’s normal for a person to have a crush with someone from the opposite sex.’ Is there any way to switch off my thoughts? I turned to my si

    Chapter 3

I peeled my gaze off his shirtless chest and quickly focused on the wall behind him. Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. Pythagorean Theorem. Charles Babbage. The Renaissance Period. Edgar Allan Poe. To be or not to be. Abraham Lincoln. The face that launched a thousand ships. “What are you mumbling about? Get in here.” Mich’s grinning face met mine as I sat on his bed. My brows creased when I noticed he now wore a sleeveless plain white shirt. Did I imagine the whole thing? I was deeply both

    Chapter 2

Ok this was weird. Awkward. Embarrassing. Pleasant. Did I just say pleasant? Dammit! Fuck, I just swore. Did it again. Dude, enough with the internal monologue! I ought to say something to him, but what? Did I already mention that this was weird? “Would you relax? You’re making me uncomfortable,” Mich said in an amused voice. For the first time since he started driving, I glanced at him. He concentrated on the road, so I allowed my gaze to linger. His longish blonde hair fell just past his

    Chapter 1

“You know what you need, Coop? A makeover.” Well that was Vern for you. What a friend, huh? Her sole purpose in life seemed to be to try and change me. Every single day. I liked the way I look, thank you very much. Maybe like wasn’t the proper word. I was comfortable with the way I looked. Now if only I could make her believe me. (I had been trying for ages with no success.) “You would look much better if you get rid of those dorky glasses,” she said, leaning forward on my swing chair towa

    Chapter 1

Ever since I could remember, words were all I had, all I really wanted. It started when I was a kid as my mother read me bed time stories. Her words filled me with wonder and awe as I distinctly saw Peter Pan flying through the sky. Since then, words became my friends. I treasured them and kept them in mind. Before long, I was making up stories of my own and I was sure no child ever had as much fun as I did. That seemed ages ago but I am still filled with so much happiness as I recall those d

  14. If you shrink away from foul language, then I suggest you stop reading right at this very moment. Go on, use the fucking mouse and close this window. You’re a sissy anyway, so better do the cowardly thing and get the hell away from here! After that warning and you’re still reading on, either you’re extremely brave or absolutely stupid. I think it’s the latter and there’s nothing you can do regarding what I think. Perhaps you’re just bored and don’t have anything to do. My advice: get a life d

    Chapter 1

From a distance, it’s just a typical parting between parents and their only son. The father is carrying a luggage which he hauled in an old dilapidated car. The son was already sitting in the passenger seat on the front. The mother was on the front door, wailing. As we look closer though, we find that this is not an ordinary parting at all. Yes, the son is off to work with a family friend’s farm but not through his own choice. The son, one named Mitchell (18 years old), has several bruises on

    Chapter 20

I listened to the soothing words Joey whispered. I held on to them as if my entire existence depended on it. There was nothing special about ‘everything will be alright’, ‘I’m here’ or any of the other words he said to me, but the timing was perfect. Slowly, I got my emotions under control. Joey was still holding me when I stopped crying. I welcomed the closeness of his body against mine. The warmth of his body countered the coldness emanating from within me. Joey finally let go of me when

    Chapter 19

I slept beside Lee that night. As I’d closed my eyes, Lee still held on to my waist as if he would drown or something if he let go. When I awoke the next day, however, he was hunched slightly away from me. I was glad because it meant I could sneak out without bothering him. I went around the bed though to check on him. I wasn’t sure whether he was ok or not when I looked at his sleeping form. But as far as I could tell there was nothing wrong, so I quietly made my way down to the living room.

    Chapter 18

When Cedric and I arrived at our room, I went straight for my bed. I heard Cedric sigh but I kept my back to him. I didn’t feel like talking. I knew I was being ungrateful after everything he’d done for me that day, but I needed to be alone with my thoughts. I had to do this alone for now. It was a restless night for me. When I woke, everything seemed gloomy although the sun was shining brightly outside. I groaned inwardly. How was I supposed to tell Lee what he probably didn’t want to hear?

    Chapter 17

I laid the pen on the table and stared at the paper which I had been writing on for almost three hours. I hadn’t written a poem for so long mainly because I’m not good at it. But as I looked at the words on the paper, a sense of satisfaction filled me because this poem captured how I truly felt. I needed to make a decision, but I had to see Lee first. A loud sigh escaped my lips. It’d been a month since Lee caught me making out with Liam. Liam and I were still dating, but we hadn’t gone all t

    Chapter 16

My stomach twisted in a knot. Liam was wary but he didn’t show signs of fear that I felt. The position which Liam and I were in didn’t look good. To top it all, we were both naked with raging hardons; although mine was going away fast. I could feel that Liam was still semi-hard though. Liam and I locked eyes for a second and as if on cue, we both looked at the cause of the door banging, Liam turned his body slightly sideways while I had to get up a bit and strain my neck to see. It was Lee. T

    Chapter 15

The hug was brief but meaningful to me. I felt that it meant something to Joey too. Maybe we could salvage the friendship after all. Out of respect for Liam, I didn’t want to think Joey and I could be more than friends. Liam kissed me in public after all. I felt I owe him something. But I should feel something more than that, right? I can’t be with Liam just because I had to. Joey and I let go of each other almost at the same time. We looked at each other and started grinning. It felt to me l

    Chapter 14

Turning, I spotted Liam as he was about to enter the restaurant. Why was my heart beating so fast? I’d done nothing wrong. I wasn’t out on a date with Joey; not intentionally at least. The fact Joey and I were about to go back inside the restaurant meant we were hungry, nothing more. “Liam...” was all that I could say. “I’m sorry too.” He hung up. His last comment puzzled me until Joey and I made our way back into the restaurant. He was with Lee and two girls. I should’ve known. Than

    Chapter 13

Lee and Liam had to go back to the dorm a few hours later. Lee mentioned something about having a date. That came as no surprise at all, but I was curious whether Liam was going with him. I was about to ask Liam but then Cedric arrived. “Ced, this is Liam, Lee’s friend. Liam, this is my roommate Cedric.” They shook hands and there didn’t seem to be any friction between them like before. Liam probably wrote Cedric off as a threat because the guy was straight. “Hi, Ced. I heard you have a
