Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! You are correct in your assumption to assume that the grandmother was of no relation to Jake. The nightmares are actual memories. Jake was present when his parents were attacked. As for how he escaped, that will be revealed in later chapters. Once you are introduced to the world of night stalker and guardian in later chapters certain things will fall into place sooner rather than later. I will tell you that Jake has a very hard road ahead of him. He has an enormous amount of power at his disposal, but until he learns how to control that power it is more of a hindrance rather than a help. -Holly

As far as everyone knows Jordan is straight. At least that is what Jordan wishes everyone to think. If I ever finish Always there is a rough plan for a sequel that centers on Jordan and possibly David, but nothing is set in stone. I really need to rewrite Always. David obviously has a thing for Drew's little brother, but Jordan really isn't David's biggest fan. If I do write the sequel then it would be a slow burn type thing if I even got them together at all.

David has certainly had his share of horrible stuff, but he hasn't made the best decisions either and he knows that. David is actually one of my favorite characters despite all of his faults. I think everyone is nervous about when Tyler's killer is going to strike. The killer is smart and knows how to bide their time. They are waiting for a moment when the group is vulnerable, and you are right; absolutely no one is safe. I will try to get the next chapter up sooner, but I refuse to jinx myself. Honestly, there are not going to be many more chapters and to me that is scary, but I promise to post more than twice this year. Thanks for your review as always, Lisa! You always make my day.

Stephen, Always will get finished...eventually. I actually sent chapter 27 to my first editor a couple days ago and I'm just waiting for her to get to it. From there I will send it to my second editor for the final touches and then I'll publish it. The inspiration for Always has always come in spurts for me. With all do respect, Stephen, I think you are way out of line in telling her to delete her story. You are most certainly entitled to state your opinion of her work, but you have no right to tell her to remove her work just because you think you 'deserve' better as a reader. Since you seem to have done your research you should have noticed that many people have enjoyed this story, and the people who haven't have at least been tactful in their posts. Last time I checked fiction was supposed to spark emotion in the reader. Just because you didn't like the emotions the story sparked in you doesn't mean she should have to delete it. It isn't your place to tell her what to write or how to write it. She can use her talent any way she very well pleases. I wish that I were half the writer she is, and I'm not just saying that because she has always been my best friend in the entire world. I say that because I have always looked up to her(even though she is much shorter than me). She has been there for some serious shit in my life and I don't know what I would have done without her. You could have stopped reading the story at anytime. After all that is what the little 'x' in the corner of your screen is for. The concept is simple, if you don't like something then don't read it, get to the end and tell the author to delete it because you simply couldn't stop reading something you apparently hated. I promise to finish this story. No need to worry about that. I just seem to be in a bit of a dead spot at the moment. Yes, you are right about Jordan. He does have a long journey ahead of him, and he will need everyone to get to get him through. Ah, whoever hired Lucas to 'misinform' David is the killer. The notes... well no true master mind does his own dirty work does he? Yes, I do love each and every character, and I try and make them as realistic and unique as possible. I am quite attached to these characters. They are part of me, and even though this story has had many versions, their personalities have always stayed the same. I nearly have the next chapter finished. When I finished I will send it off to my girls for editing which can be a lengthy process. We just want to make sure everything gets a good as we can get it thought. You shouldn't have to wait more than a couple weeks . As for the AJ thing don't sweat it. Just call me Holly. Yes, Jordan and Drew may disagree more often then not, but they do have that brotherly support. Not to mention they nearly lost each other once. No matter what the other one decides they will support one another because they do not want to lose each other for petty reasons. Ah, Mayor Davidson... he is one evil son of a bitch, but I am afraid that is all I will leave you with about him.

I do love a good mystery to keep things from becoming dull. Where would the fun be if I just brought Jordan back without any dangers lurking in the shadows for Drew and Luke?
