It isn't just because you know them. That was wonderful! I think it became more of a battle at the end :2hands: .

How did you come up with your screen name?
Parchment_Of_Love replied to Camilo's topic in The Lounge
Holly is the short version of my middle name Holleen. Holly rhymes with Jolly and my friends would always call me Holly Jolly. Then my best friend got tired of it and began to call me HJ. I have been HJ for a long while now. So there we have it . -

The wet sand was cool against the soles of my feet as I stood next to the water's edge. There was not a cloud on the horizon. The warm rays of the sun beat down on my bare back, causing the skin of my shoulders to tingle pleasantly, and the costal winds whipped my dark hair into my eyes. Farther up the beach, children played by the shoreline with their parents near them. The faint sounds of their laughter drifted pass my ears as I watched them stomp a sandcastle into oblivion. Thank you! My first review in the new link and I love it. I'll post as soon as I can! -
The night was silent as Drew and Luke stood hand in hand beside Jeff. Everyone made their way to the end of the dock to stand in front of the four boys. Jeff stood tall and proud beside his friends while David stood isolated near the old wooden railing of the dock. “This explains why you stuck beside him,” said Lucas to Drew. “I would have stuck by him as a friend either way,” replied Drew. “Fucking fags,” David uttered. Luke didn’t even hesitate to release Drew’s hand and pin David

“Rose!” yelled Jeff. Rose had fallen from the swing to the wooden floor. Blood was seeping through her pink v-neck blouse and she was clutching her shoulder. Luke had shot up from his seat and was looking for the shooter. “Jeff, call 911!” he exclaimed as his eyes darted around the area. “Get in the house! Jeff, help me get her inside,” Drew spoke loudly but calmly. Rose’s parents had rushed up at the vision of their only daughter lying bloody on the porch

“Stop! Don’t hurt him! Stop! Stop!” Luke yelled in his sleep. Drew rolled off the air mattress, and frantically scrambled across the floor to Luke’s bedside. He placed a hand on Luke’s shoulder, “Wake up, your just having a bad dream,” Drew said softly as he shook his shoulder. “Please, stop,” Luke whimpered as he shrunk from the pressure from Drew’s hand. Drew placed his other hand on the unbattered side of Luke’s face, “Luke! Wake up,” he said, with more concern. Luke’s eyes flashed open,

Drew was shocked to say the least that Mike and Brett were gay. As he sat there next to Luke he felt relieved that they were no threat to them. Brett and Mike had very addicting personalities. They would talk and laugh, they both loved playful banter and being around them was a refreshing twist to their current situation. He felt relaxed around the couple and he could tell Luke did as well. Luke had fitted himself into Drew’s side. He had known Mike and Brett for years, but he never su

“Let’s get out of here and I will explain later when there is no audience,” Drew said leading them out of the gym. They nodded and looked at each other while wondering what Drew could have possibly figured out. Jeff Waved his buddies back to the lunch room. Disappointed that there was no fight they went back as Jeff, Rose, Drew and Luke made their way to the art room. The entered into the room and Jeff shut the door behind them. “Okay, what have you figured out?” Ro

They all quickly packed up and took shelter in the Escalade. The rain was really beginning to fall. Drew switched on the heater and gave a slight shake. “Drew, Luke, there is something we were going to tell you guys. We waited until now because we didn’t want to ruin your day.” Drew and Luke looked at each other and then looked back at Jeff. “What is it?” Luke asked. “I was talking to Mike, his dad works at the police station, and he told me that there wasn’t enough evid

3 days later: Drew awoke stiff as a board, and to make things worse he rolled over and fell off the futon with a thud. "Fucking rock,” Drew growled. Luke stood in the doorway laughing. He was wearing only a towel, and his hair was dripping, sending beads of water cascading down his chest and back. "Are you alright,” he asked, limping over to Drew. Drew picked himself up off the floor with a grunt. He gave the futon a swift kick causing him to grab his foot in pain and begin hopping around.

Jane came home to find that Drew and Luke had locked themselves in Drew’s room. Jane laughed as she knocked on the door. "Boys, open the door,” she called. Drew swung open the door and pulled Jane in. "Would this have anything to do with the snake curled up in the garage?” Jane asked. Luke and Drew looked at Jane with stunned expressions. Jane laughed until she had to sit down on the futon. "Boys, it just a harmless scarlet king snake. The coral snake is the one to be afraid of. It looks ne

Drew saw that he had really done a number on David’s face. His left eye was swollen, his jaw was an absolute mess and there were small cuts that speckled his face. Drew looked from David to Luke and could almost feel the fear engulf Luke’s body. "Come on, everything will be okay,” Drew said, placing his hand on Luke’s back once more. As they began walking, Drew let the hand fall back to his side. All the while he was keeping his eyes on David, who was arguing with the head nurse. He didn’t ev

“Aw, look at them,” Rose whispered as she and Jeff stood in the doorway looking at Luke and Drew asleep in each other’s arms. "Rose, I don’t think we should let them know we saw this. I mean you saw how Luke reacted yesterday about us thinking they were gay. If we wake them up they are both going to get defensive, and who knows how they will react,” Jeff said as he pulled Rose out the door. "I guess you’re right. Eventually they will realize that they can’t avoid what is happening between the

Drew drove slowly through the town as he looked for the hardware store. He wondered to himself if it was open on a Sunday, not to mention he had already made two wrong turns. Clearwater was a small town compared to L.A, but when it came right down to it, Clearwater wasn’t that small at all. There was a Wal-Mart, two cinemas, two dollar stores, a Dairy Queen, Subway, Taco Bell, Burger King, Pizza Hut, a Chinese Restaurant, Mexican Restaurant, four different gas stations and the town square was su

Drew had just handed Luke another tissue and a cup of water when they both heard a knock at the door. Not expecting his mother for a while, Drew’s eyes darted over to the door. As the door opened he quickly positioned himself between it and Luke. When Dr. McGowan entered Drew’s temper began to spike. Drew turned to face Luke who had an astonished expression on his face. Slowly, Drew backed up and stood beside Luke and kept a watchful eye on Dr. McGowan as he spoke. “How are you feeling?” Dr. Mc

Jane had just grabbed the morning charts when she was confronted by Dr. McGowan. “Dr. Knight may I speak with you for a moment? It’s about Luke,” Dr. McGowan said as he came up behind Jane. Jane turned and faced Dr. McGowan. "Luke is doing fine. He was extremely lucky that Drew found him, but I believe that I will allow him to check out in a few days,” Jane replied coldly. Dr. McGowan looked down at the charts he held in his hand and then back up at Jane. She saw the look in his eyes and som
