  1. It was Bambi for me.
  2. Or so Will thinks. I don't think humans can completely separate sexual intimacy and emotional consequences unless there is some level of sociopathy present.
  3. This is another "I wish there was an "enh" response for liking comments" moment. I don't think their relationship is in any different place than it was six months ago. Will gets to have his cake and eat it, Travis can't even lick the spoon. It is like Matt and Wade. Matt got to fuck whomever he liked and his his attitude with Wade was, "well you can too", but Matt never understood that Wade wasn't a 'ho like he was. The "you can fuck whomever you like" attitude came undone when Wade decided Brad was who he wanted to fuck.
  4. I wish there was an "enh" response for liking comments. Sad, angry and wow don't capture ambivalence. They are in no different place than they have been really.
  5. “Okay,” I said slowly, because that sort of came out of nowhere. Seriously? Out of nowhere? How far up your ass is your head? If Will is Mr. "I can read you like a book", did he skip a chapter? “What else is bothering you?” I asked. He made to argue but I held up my hand to stop him. “I can read you like a book. You can’t hide it from me.” There is a time to leave people their own personal space. Can you imagine Will's reaction if Brad pushed him like this? “I’m sorry you brought it up too, but you know where I stand on this, and if you fuck him, you’re no longer the cloud hovering over my boxes. It’s just that simple,” You know the rules, I can fuck everyone I want, take them on exotic vacations without talking to you about and you just have to accept that. I can screw up over and over, but you can't have any failings at 19 years old. If I bump into Will in the Malibu Country Mart, I'm punching him in the nose. But thank you Mark for so much in one chapter. I appreciate and admire your devotion to your readers to put out these chapters on schedule. On a side note, I may or may not have paused and rewound two or six times in The Day After Tomorrow to see Jake Gyllenhaal in wet boxers. 🤣

    Chapter 26

Just old 🤣 Actually, it's not you. Jeremy has that effect on many with his pop references and other stories here at GA.

    Chapter 26

Newsflash. Will has never been committed, hence no need to "recommit". I know, I know, y'all have others ideas on what committal is.

    Chapter 26

Not sure about you, but in my hometown, you didn't need to do it to have an active party life before age 15.

    Chapter 26

Speaking of studies.... a recent study shows most men are not born gay.... they just get sucked into it. 🤣 (thank you very much, I am here all week)

    Chapter 26

If Austin is "a little shorter than seven inches" (17cm to 17.5cm) then according to the largest study ever done in the U.S., he is well above average. 13.24 cm (5.21 in) was the mean, erect adult male penis in the study of over 15,000 measurements. On a side note, how do you describe to your kids what you do for a living when you are PPM? (Professional Penis Measurer)

    Chapter 26

Thanks Mark for this continuing Travisty right on Schedule! I appreciate so much your work ethic and devotion to your followers to stick to your schedule. That isn't to say I'll be all bitter if you miss, quite the contrary, I'd understand. Keeping to a schedule can be brutal. As to our story. I know everyone is going to be surprised by this, but I think Will was a complete dick the first part of the story. Will is supposed to be madly in love with Travis, so instead of flipping attitude because Travis is busy and comparing what he, Will, did to support Travis last Summer, he gets bitchy. You don't do things for someone you love for what you can get back, you do it because you love them. I don't buy Isidore being as petty as she is being portrayed. I think she should have expressed herself once on why she thinks the Golden Child owes her an apology, but not getting one. You move on. Dropping the bombshell on Travis that Will is talking his fuck toy Austin to Australia for two weeks is so passive aggressive and such a dick head thing to do, but Will doesn't care because he is a dick head and everything is always about him.
  12. And in really important news.... Gelson’s Markets Announces Return to Pacific Palisades https://www.gelsons.com/announcements/view/gelsons-markets-announces-plans-to-return-to-pacific-palisades
  13. Pretty sure I have been very consistent in my feelings about Will since his gay club escapades in Rome as a 13 year old, where he suffered no adverse consequences for his highly inappropriate behavior, especially for a 13 year old. Perhaps if people had said no, dare I say punished him, for his many breeches of acceptable behavior, he'd turn out into a decent human being who sees the world beyond his wants and his needs. I've seen many Wills in my life and in real life, it almost never ends well.
  14. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. A new chapter, delivered on schedule and reaffirmation that Will is the most self absorbed, selfish, spoiled twat of all time. That is TWO right there! In this chapter Will confirms over and over that it is all about him. Things have to go his way or he treats you like shit. Things have to go his way because he is right and you are.... well what you believe doesn't really matter because he is right. He is Will. The Chosen One. The Golden Boy. His way because there is no other way. Mr. Arbour, your skill at creating such an awful character is remarkable.

    The Betrayal

Enh, I like books and fiction for the very reason that I can think of character's looks as I see and interpret them. I don't want an illustration that forces me to think, 'oh that is XYZ'. I want the imagine I have in my mind. I want Joe Hardy, my first literary crush, to be a creation of my imagination, not an illustrator's view of him.

    The Betrayal

Sigh, no dicks... why bother 🤣
  17. It would be a nice twist if Lefevre knew one of the Spanish officers who was working for the French.
  18. Thanks Mark for the bonus PoA. Of course the task given to Granger wasn't going to be an easy one, nor without intrigue and landmines along the way. Of course he will succeed, he always does, but it never does seem easy. I hope the spies die with a nimcha to the gullet.

    The Betrayal

It was called Armistice Day at one time because The War To End All Wars ended. It happened on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Since The War To End All Wars didn't end all wars, we now call it Veteran's Day because the armistice didn't last very long. I've been privileged to be in Canada several times on Remembrance Day and twice in London, so I wore my poppy. My great grandfather was in the British Army in WWI, as a result I grew up with readings of In Flander's Fields, The Soldier and Tommy on Remembrance Day.

    The Betrayal

Thank you for the bonus chapter. I will of course be expecting a chapter on the major national holiday two weeks from today I think everyone should be grateful no one has exposed Will's and Travis' relationship. If I'd had been in the meeting Stef would have to have had a platter of smoked salmon, bagels and all the accoutrements from Russ & Daughters.

    The Interviews

I've never lived more than a mile from the beach in my life (excluding Berkeley, but college doesn't count).

Very sorry to hear you are in THE hospital.

    The Interviews

Thanks Mark for staying on schedule in your posting. I know it isn't an obligation, but I think you see it as one sometimes. I am just grateful for when it comes out. I think an Austin and Will hook up has become inevitable. Sooner or later Austin is going to figure out Troy isn't worth it; not just because of Will, but all the other possibilities as well. How can Will be the smartest man in the room and not have figured out Jeremy by now and the competition between them? I think the paparazzi will back off, but not all the way. You can't stuff that genie back in the bottle all that easily. The consuming public wants what they want.
  24. Absolutely love this book and series. It is a masterful work of historical fiction. The period piece is carefully researched down to the language used and the situations presented. The character development is beautiful. I love Horatio Hornblower (a name that takes on a new significance having read Bridgemont) and Jack Aubrey, but love George Granger even more because we see so much more of his inner thoughts. Anyone who loves books about love, intrigue, lust, the Napoleonic wars, British navy and the sweep of history should love this book and series.
