I love this story and this chapter, but I am no longer bowing to peer pressure for "story likes inflation". I look back at, say, Man in Motion: Super Bowl. That is as brilliant a chapter as any ever written in CAP, yet it received 27 likes, 8 loves, an angry and scattered other signals of appreciation. Travisty: Bastille Day gets a 'like' from me and I will find other ways to grovel before the throne. Anywho, thanks Mark for this lovely bit of craft, thanks that it stays on schedule and starts to wrap up this bit of drama. As to the content, if I could have anyone in this story rubbed out, and not in a good way, it would be Sebastian. Dolan isn't important enough to warrant more attention. He will slink quietly hack to his small pond from whence he came. Maybe two months from now a couple of fellas visit him and do some damage, not too visible, to remind him there are a lot of lonely fishes. To all appearances Travill, or is it Wivis, are back to being a couple again. Do I have this right? Still, I think upon Will's return to Harvard, a swift kick in the nads to Austin could help Will's outlook on life.

You choose the most bizarre, obscure things 🤣 I think 10,000 people saw this movie and the only ones who liked it were upper class East Side twits for the inside jokes. 🤣

Much more like The Wonder Years actually. Despite the wealth I grew up around, no one was ostentatious and many of my friends were slightly embarrassed by their parents wealth. My best friend my freshman year in high school lived in a house so big compared to all the other houses around told kids at school his father was a minister and that was his church. We thought how we lived was normal.

A home on the ocean side of Coast Highway is a minimum 8 figure home. With inflation and all, a nice home in Granada Hills can go from $2-4 million. Calabasas, where the Kardasians are from, is the new "it place" for Hollywood and there are a ton of homes there $10-40 million. As to Dolan, yeah he was a dick, but hardly deserving of death (unlike Zach). He just needs to be black-balled in the industry and sent back to BFE. Last bit of trivia, John Elway played football at Granada Hills High School when his father was the head coach at Cal State Northridge, or the Harvard of the Valley, as we like to call it.

Neither one is a great option because they pay replacement costs not market value. When David Geffin's $85 million house burned down, if he was insured, he'd have received a few million for it. We are actually in good shape in terms of the house washing away, but not everyone is so lucky. It's been a rough couple of years for the area. If you don't know about it, look up Kelvin Wave So Cal. PS Stef's house could be in trouble.

Travis got a boner, Travis got a boner 🤣 Thanks Mark for your constancy to your fans. I know that some Friday I may sit by the computer and wind up disappointed, but it isn't this week 😁 An interesting chapter as Travis claws his way out of the pit he has been in. Now I need to go figure out if my house is going to burn down before it falls into the sea, or if it falls into the sea before burning 🤣

Thank you for for the regularity. You are the Metamucil of GA 🤣 I seriously do appreciate how consistent this story has been. I know it may not and maybe cannot go on like that forever, but for a year now it has been as dependable as it can be. Nice to see some progress with Travis as Will was approaching his breaking point. I think it should be Jake who sits down with Travis at some point and present the hard evidence about about Dolan screwing over the other guys, just like he did with the Palisades people. It would be even nicer if Jake could get into Dolan's emails or texts and show Travis Dolan boasting to someone about how easily he manipulated Travis and how he planted the hate against Will.

That you Old Faithful (that is Mark Arbour for those of you wondering). It would not be Friday without a CAP chapter. When time on Tonto was first broached, I said Will needed to have a psychologist or psychiatrist on board. He needs a specialist in recovery. Travis needs to be helped to recall what it was that made his so happy before his journey with drugs began. He needs to be helped to recognize how tough it was for Will and the family to take this drastic action to save his life. Not sure where he will do the 8 week rehab. I'd have said Escorial, but that would be too easy to walk away from. Maybe Hawaii was chosen for the destination so Travis can be in a facility on remote Molokai or Kauai.

Ken Dolan is dumber than Ken Doll in Toy Story 3. He never thought more than 2 days in advance in his life. Jake, scary scary Jake, needs to have a conversation with Ken and explain who he is, what he is capable of, and what very very bad consequences Ken will face should he step one smidge out of line.

Thanks Mark. It just wouldn't be Friday without a CAP chapter. I think of all the messes in Hollywood who screwed up their lives, the lives of spouses and children and even lost who lost their lives. This chapter strikes really close to home and I feel for Will. Being a sane person and having the person you love the most in the world (non family member) say all these things to you is agonizing, even if you intellectually understand it is not really them saying it, but the demons inside. No idea how much of the cruise to Hawaii we will see, but by the time they arrive, Travis should be rational, or mostly rational. I just wish these was something Kendo has said or committed to paper that would reveal his plans and designs on Travis. I am just so happy that September 29, 2026 is National Coffee Day, a major national holiday, so we don't need to wait until next Friday for the next chapter.

People think I hate Will. I don't. But Presley Gerber is closer to the reality of scions of fame and wealth that I see and grew up with than Will's example. I often wonder how many of my friends from my youth would be alive today (or at least not messes, in and out of rehab and on their third marriage in their 40's) if their parents exercised more parental control and let the consequences fall on their sons without "beating the system".

Brad simply tells the director to take a three week hiatus. There really is any room for anyone on the show to argue. In three weeks Travis can be dried out. Not sure if he can be healed emotionally in three weeks to confront "Julian". It depends on who Will has engaged to help in the recovery.

I didn't know if to hit "love" or "laugh my ass off" on the Like button, but wound up with "love". Thank you Mark for the newest installment, but fuck you Mark for edging us 🤣 I was hoping for some resolution, and all I have is a little pre-resolution 🤣

In the latest Forbes 400 list, CA has several in the Top Ten. #3 is Larry Page, $278 billion; #5 is Sergey Brin, $256 billion and #6 Mark Zuckerberg, $212 billion; and #8 Jensen Huang of Nvidia, $199 billion. These numbers boggle the mind. I need to raise my hourly. We know Will is an early Facebook investor. Was Stef a Google Investor? I forget.
