I agree there is no excuse for getting physical, but if Will stops to analyze the situation he might realize he possibly forced the physical confrontation by blocking Zach from leaving. I've never thought Zach was right for Will because of a lot of reasons, but I don't dislike Zach. And as long as we are on over the top, completely uncalled for actions, I'll recall a young psycho kid who drugged a parent, shredded thousands of dollars of clothing and shoes and destroyed two very valuable cars.... can't recall the kids name. 🤔 I think if if Zach had popped Will in the mouth after the incident with Taylor or finding out about Travis, you could say Zach resorted to violence due to ego. In this case, Zach was trying to leave and Will wouldn't let him. Again, Zach didn't pop him, he shoved him. That is a mitigating circumstance (or so I would argue with an ADA). I think this is one of the keys. Will doesn't feel safe around Zach. Will he ever again? I don't think a sole act makes someone a bad guy. It is the reaction and future acts that will determine that. I think if Zach quit football and came out, that would sway Will. I also cannot see that happening. I think Travis will feel guilty (for no reason). The question is, how will this play out in the Buck family? Zach is family and will always be family. The Crampton-Schluter-Hayes family will not abandon him.

Which kind of supports my point that Will is going to Harvard simply because it is Harvard, not because he was driven (internally) to get into Harvard or had a passion for what he could learn there. Zach may not be happy, but so much of this is a consequence of his decisions, his being in the closest and the choices he has made. Travis needs Will's love and support and Stef's firepower. Travis is way better suited for Will than.... Connie, Zach, Patrick, Kai, just about any of these people because Will and Travis are in the same stage of life, have been raised in the same universe of wealth and privilege (and yes that matters greatly) and are very compatible physically.
