  1. No idea. If I knew, I'd have said it in the first place I can hardly ever understand me, though, so don't fret about trying to do so yourself, haha! Probably the only answer is really "when the mood strikes me" and generally no one has control over that
  2. Pretty much the same as most everyone else for me. Too many stories, most of which I haven't read, too little time, and all that jazz. I'll add my support to the idea that doing one for the Fall Anthology would be a good idea (though I still can't guarantee my participation, hahahaha). So, um, there you have it
  3. Ooooooooo! So purty! Hehehe that last one is a great shot! Many thanks!
  4. Welcome to GA, Nick! Make yourself comfortable and enjoy the place Yeah, some of that college reading....bleh! Luckily I've been able to get by for a good few of my classes without having to actually do the reading - my instructors have been spoiling us. Shame on them. Oh well Yes, yes, that would be very cool. If you have some, definitely share it with us! And if not...make some and share them with us!
  5. Please, Com, that's backwards. You love to tease us, the writing is the bonus.
  6. Nah, didn't think you were singling me or anyone else out, was just stating about my own signature and how it relates to the original question...in that, I don't see those as being "too big" hehe
  7. Well, a new one for me then....curse you, now I'll probably start using it too 'Snarky' would also work though, so both are good *laugh*
  8. Yeah, my sig is probably almost too big but...I like it too much! *rofl* I only relatively recently added the second image as a link because that story is just way too good...and the graphic perfectly states what can happen when you click it And the one with my name is just....too me Yeah....both images are at 30K so they shouldn't take long to show up even on dialup. *shrug* Should only take a few seconds for each, tops, so one would hope it's not a problem Too bad I can't use CSS in my signature, then I could properly align the things and make it smaller, vertically, at least Still, for those using only text, a few lines is not bad at all - that obviously takes next to no time at all to load, and generally isn't too large....unless you blow up the font too much heh.
  9. *shudder* I kinda almost wish I could or had been able to go to that....I'd destroy them like they wouldn't believe Thankfully though, that type is still quite in the minority in general....a very vocal minority, unfortunately, and sometimes one with more power than they should have...but I refuse to believe that people with that line of thinking will ever be 'the norm.' *keeps his rose-coloured glasses firmly in place*
  10. Nah, not a psych major...comp sci here But always been quite interested in psych....could almost see myself getting a minor in it or something Don't know that I'd ever go far into it though, if I wanted a 'second career option' type of thing it would probably be teaching Then I could combine them and teach computer classes, win-win situation! I'm not sure where it came from; when I first saw it, it was in in email, presented almost exactly like in the original post. It would be interesting to see where the 'chain' originated though, why it was first done. It's still pretty dang cool no matter what though
  11. Of course he does it to wind us up. Comicality is THE DEVIL. Those of us who have read him a while have known this for years; those who haven't, it should be readily apparent after one or two stories. You should see what he does on the Library, it's a MILLION times worse than the little hints he drops like the one above
  12. I think he meant "snarky" Com *noogie* But hooray for more MOE! Now I gotta reread the series so the new chapter makes sense...curse you! This is all part of your evil plan, isn't it? *shakefist* *licks*
  13. Hell yeah! Go North Dakota! My home state so I gotta show some love when they do something good That's also awesome for India - I hope they're able to get the support they need & deserve there.
  14. Yeah, seen similar to this before, it is pretty neat what the mind can accomplish. If you really sit down and think of all the conscious and unconscious things your mind is always doing.....it's insane. Red_A, that's some interesting information, thank you for sharing it. Always kinda wondered how that worked for people affected by it; no one I've known closely at all (eg in school etc) was dyslexic so *shrug* Heh....The fact that colors and fonts have such an impact is also quite intriguing. Argh, this is brining up my psychology urgings again....damn you

    Homework

Yeah, homework is evil like that. Personally I only try to do it if I really, really have to. *laugh* In high school it's much more required; in college, it's much more necessary. See, in most of the classes I've had, homework was neither collected nor graded - we were just told to do it, and if we didn't, well, we'd find out the consequences on test day. I can definitely understand your situation though, I had similar things myself back then. I think it's actually quite a common problem. Just gotta stick it out and hopefully things won't get as bad as Krista's brother....that's just crazy.....although I've actually had worse happen *chuckle* Anyhow - good luck with it Kurt
  16. VERY awesome video, thanks for sharing that! I wish YouTube was cool enough to let you download the videos like Google *chuckle* Maybe they have it too I think it was Dutch, although I could be wrong.
  17. Neat, another Mississippian, and an interesting one at that That's EXACTLY what I thought when I saw the list We need to have a GA DnD meet sometime! *rofl*
  18. Heard about it, didn't see it though, I'll go watch the online one - thanks for that link by the way
  19. Well, if you think about it, in the stereotypical way, any version of it is the homo version From another angle, any version I play is as well. Haha, I wonder if I still have the pics of my ex and I playing it
  20. You can also opt for the home version, if you aren't yet up to embarassing yourself in public I own it for PS2 (you have to buy the dance pad as well, which costs about $30 for a decent, new, soft pad, or over $100 for a hard pad - if you can afford it, the hard ones are a lot better....kinda like something else ) Dunno what all systems they're availabe for, but there are several versions out there for PS2 - might have to get it online though, I don't typically see them for sale in stores *shrug* Might just be me haha
  21. Yeah, you should see some of the stuff these guys can pull off, it's simply astouding. I second that Definitely a good vid, thanks for sharing....dunno about the question of his sexuality though, some of these straight guys can be pretty talented when you throw them behind a DDR machine for some strainge reason *shrug* Still impressive, either way.
  22. Quite a cute video, and definitely a great message as well, thanks for sharing!
  23. That would be absurd, haha...but ya never know *shrug* I'm still undecided as to what, exactly, I think of Paolini's books, but the movie definitely looks interesting at the least. And Ed Speleers looks rather cute, hehe
  24. One of my favorites too....brings to mind another pair we used when I did tech support for Gateway. "Eye dee ten tee" and PEBKAC. The first you pronounce that way so the callers can't understand you - "This is an eye dee ten tee call." Written out, you get I D 10 (ten) T or ID10T. PEBKAC = Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair. "Man, this eye-dee-ten-tee keeps calling, and every time there's a PEBKAC." Some of us huge geeks actually DO sometimes say "lol" on occasion. That's typically how I read it now, it's not "el oh el", it's just "lol" A few others that can be fun.... ROFLMCLA - Rolling on the floor laughing my cute little ass off. ROFLMGDSLA - Rolling on the floor laughing my "gosh darn" ( ) sweet little ass off OTS - Off The Subject OTOH - On the other hand IIRC - If I recall correctly
  25. Haha, the PETA one is a classic, seen that ages ago but still worth a great laugh....the other video....wow, haha. That's about all I can say
