    The Interviews

I like Jeremy, always have. People forget the turmoil in his life; losing his mother, maybe never having had his father, losing his career, being molested and thinking he loved his molester, losing his football playing boyfriend, his aristocratic boyfriend and more. Of course the poor guy is a mess. What is William's excuse?

    Presentations

George will not refuse His Most Catholic Majesty because the King would surely not ask George to do something that would be contrary to the interests of England. He knows George to be an honorable man. Perhaps Don Carlos María Isidro Benito de Borbón y Borbón-Parma needs tutoring in charm and romance? I surely hope Cardona has dismissed all of Ines' servants and replaced them with women loyal to him and that her belongings are searched with a fine tooth comb until the copies of George's letters are found and that George and Cardona learn from this episode.
  5. I really admire the skillful writing in creating four different news article, each with their own style, pace and diction. I was disappointed in Marie for her dig at Will about Austin in Travis' presence, that seemed very disrespectful to Travis. Then I was disappointed in Jeremy for suggesting going to a gay bar, knowing Travis' circumstances. They are in dang New York City. There are jazz clubs, piano bars, nightclubs with singers, comedy clubs, magic clubs, any kind of entertainment you want. They did not need to go to a gay bar.
  6. He told me that it didn’t, because while those other guys had Stef’s body, he had his soul.” I know people, meaning gay people, just don't get Tim and me. We seem anachronistic to the gay community and there are all sorts of unkind ways they describe us. We believe in monogamy, we are libertarians, which in my grandparents day were called "Goldwater Republicans". The two of us and a small cadre of like minded friends wonder what the fight for gay marriage was about since so many of our not like minded friends do not honor the vows they took. "I promise to love and cherish you, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, for better for worse, and forsaking all others, keep myself only unto you, for so long as we both shall live." JP said he had "Stef's soul", but Tim and I think that sex is like a horcrux. Every time you have sex with someone not your partner a detached fragment of your soul is left behind. I also don't understand Will's, "There was absolutely no way I could shower next to him and not get an erection." I knew from the age of 12 or so on that guys floated my boat more than girls did and I was terrified that first day of showers in middle school PE I was going to pop a boner because I was about to see 10 to 15 guys I had the hots for naked. To my surprise, I did not pop a boner, but my mind worked like a Leica camera, taking snapshots of each penis and butt to be reviewed at a later date for nefarious purposes. In the 35 years I've showered with the hottest water polo players, swimmers, beach volleyball players, the quintessential So Cal beach boys and more, I've never been close to an erection and I've only seen one guy get an involuntary erection and that was a guy in high school "on the spectrum" as we politely say these days.

    Epilogue

Thank you Ponyboy for a very enjoyable story. I am very happy that unlike that mean Mark Arbour, none of my favorite characters died or lost limbs 😁 Now, if it is too much a bother, can you write a sequel 10 years later? As to Black Box, one of the advantages of living in So Cal with its large gay population and huge gay events is that you get big time entertainers. I saw Black Box as a teen in West Hollywood, also Ultra Nate, Rupaul, TLC, La Bouche and more.

Or, he could grab Brad and make you come to him.

    Chapter 34

I've been saying and saying, everyone is being too casual with a vicious serial killer on the loose. I wouldn't drink anything, except maybe bottled beer I opened or water, I opened. Roofies are what Corcoran uses and they are easy to slip in drinks. I have the advantage of knowing there are 38 chapters, so we are getting down to it.

    Chapter 33

No idea what any of you are talking about with the music. But I digress. I think everyone is way too casual with a cereal killer (that's right isn't it, he really hate Wheaties) on the loose. I'd never let Shane and Jimmy out my sight, like they were during the outing with Rick & Adam, Beth & Tom. If I was Adam, my head would be on a constant swivel and I would NOT have my top down. The police should cancel all days off and triple their presence at Mardi Gras and Corcoran's latest picture would be plastered all over the area of the festivities.

    Chapter 32

I think in Corcoran's twisted mind, he is more likely to go after Adam than Cooper.

    You don't find Granger's sister-in-law more detestable?

    Chapter 31

‘Out of town. Some place where they can’t be got at,’ answered Helen curtly. I think even "out of town" was too much information. I'd have just said, "we have them in a safe house". ‘And I’m Ben,’ the younger guy added, while also offering his hand. I'd have shown the two men a picture of Corcoran in case he tried to talk to them. I think Benevetti is a douche bag, not an accomplice.

    Chapter 30

I think he wanted it to get back to the AC and Minister that they were openly named in a squad meeting.

    Chapter 29

However long Ponyboy wants the story to last of course 😁 The perception of Mardi Gras even in the U.S. is that it is now tinged with gay overtones, despite being a religious event. New Orleans Mardi Gras is an excuse for outrageous costumes and decadence, and the gay community seems to love both. West Hollywood and San Francisco both have large Mardi Gras events. But I will say that NOLA Mardi Gras looks like a Sunday Baptist Picnic compared to Carnival in Rio.

    Chapter 25

If Corcoran was using a roofie (GHB) the memory would never come back. I would have just told Nick I was "out of town".
  17. Matthew k

    Chapter 24

‘Don’t most religious organisations traditionally seem to think they have a right to operate outside the law?’ I responded. Can I just say this old saw gets tiring? EVERY organization covers up crap, schools, governments, gay organizations, political parties, businesses, families and so on. When little dogs are arrested they sing like birdies when they think the big dogs are hanging them out to dry. There is so much evidence now, it may never go to trial.

    Chapter 22

I don't know Australian law, but certainly in the U.S. mandatory reporters are protected from retaliation including an employer terminating or disciplining a mandatory reporter. I also can't believe in the 2000s, a police force in Australia wouldn't vigorously investigate allegations of child rape regardless of orientation. Maybe in a 1,000 person town in the Never Never, but not a major city. It sounds like Cory was given Rohypnol. But if Corcoran had done the same to Martin, and murdered him at the school, there would have been no way to clean up all the blood evidence at the murder scene and the GHB would have shown up in Martin's system and the timeline would have led to his killer. I think Corcoran could be a red herring. Maybe not. I guess we'll see.

    Chapter 20

First, Rick needs to get hold of Adam and alert him to be on his guard and wary of anyone approaching him, especially a policeman. As to where to meet for IA to talk to Casey, I'd meet at Cathy's partner's law office. Maybe ask one of the other partner (law partners) to front the meeting as Casey's counsel. Once Jimmy Tan went missing, it was easy to guess his fate. The murders of Alexis and Jimmy T may not be directly related to Martin's death, meaning, not the same person, but someone familiar with the case trying to throw aspersions at Rick. Rick's inspector needs to ask the PC directly why he sent Rick to that substation. It could start unraveling the mystery.

Dude, if people in Bridgemont secured their correspondences and people in CAP learned to lock bedroom doors, there'd never be any drama. 😁

🤣🤣🤣 Then people will REALLY hate her!

    Chapter 19

Or his mind is conflating the past and the present. I think I'd look for any Sydney policemen who were hired from Newcastle. ‘Is that really you, Marty?’ I whispered, while looking around the darkened room Seriously, how did he pass his psych evals?

    Chapter 17

It may be a foreshadowing, but I didn't see it that way, just Tom being prepared and understanding the dangers. I did think how different it would be in Texas, where Tom would say, "don't worry, I have my friends Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson to keep me company." So far the baddies don't impress me as the brightest bulbs in the marquee, but they think Jarvis' victims are throw away kids that no one cares about so no one will push if they are disappeared. The boy who was murdered, Greg I think, is an example. The police should have had ample leads to go on and picking up Jarvis' goon for questioning and squeezing him a bit should have yielded some results. I expect to see Cathy's girlfriend involved before this is over. Maybe even a lawsuit against Jarvis from his victims and leave Mrs. Jarvis penniless.

    Chapter 15

‘Well, for every kid like me who runs away from home there’s always a guy like Jarvis who is ready to grab him and use him, either for sex or for making money from him, one way or another.’ Yes! I saw a documentary about it in London last year!

    Chapter 13

I think taking a cab was a bad idea and Rick using his own cellphone to call Beth & Tom and Adam, ditto for Helen. Coppers can pull cellphone records and taxi records. Both Rick and Helen and the Inspector should have burner phones. Oh and Jimmy Tan...... 13 stab wounds and......
