  1. Right? We'll see. I almost left a spoiler, good thing I can edit before hitting send.
  2. Hi Chris, Sorry I'm so far behind commenting. Had a publishing deadline just as you started reading. I've probably said this a dozen times or more, but I'm trying to clean this up and rewrite some bits. The other thing that I've wanted is to perhaps do a dual POV, trade off scenes between Peter and Jason. Not sure I can do that without a complete redo. We'll see. Thanks for reading!

    Chapter 9

I do not know. I never finished this. It was supposed to be a bridge between Second Shot and a second story, but life got involved then I got a publisher who had demands, and then life again. We'll see I suppose.

    Chapter 8

Ya know. Sometimes we're not exactly all that rational before our brains fully develop. For some that can be until were 25 (or longer in my case I reckon.)
  5. Oh my, Willa Cather. I never read "One of Ours" , but we had to read "O Pioneers" in high school.
  6. I've not heard that, but there is some truth to that. Sometimes the guilty do not get what, much less worse, than they deserve. At least not in this life
  7. 😆 That made me laugh. I can see him with that big clay head being send out into the dessert lol.
  8. Certainly one can sue anyone they want, but the trick is getting blood from a turnip. If the goal is to bankrupt forever someone, and you the person suing have the money you can sue, get your judgement, and garnish their wages until the judgement is paid. Think OJ Simpson. Anytime he gets money, it goes to repay the victims. But unless that is your goal, (as it was for the victims family's in OJ's case) it is not a realistic endeavor. But to your question, yes, he could sue them all.
  9. The laws of double jeopardy prevent you from being tried and sentenced again. It's a weird set up, and this is precisely why it is a BAD idea to base a case on a co-defendant who has flipped. It is alway a risky proposition and is not a preferred method. Sometimes you have no choice. But once you make your deal and get your sentence, you can't be tried again or get more time. Couldn't hurt to have some money in the bank when you get out of jail after 20 years with no job, no prospects and a rap sheet. Just sayin.
  10. Hey Miguel, Thanks for the note. I have it in my head that over the next year I'm going to "update" this a bit and clean up some of the errors. I don't plan to change to story itself. I can't say this was/is auto-biographical, but it drew on a lot things I did in college. The rest might be more a wish for how it had gone, instead of how it did. Shoot me an email and I'll let you know about the cleaned up version. Best, Andrew
  11. I might have a very unflattering image of Mr. Colmar - who may or be based on a real person. 😉
  12. YHO is not wrong.
  13. Wow! 😳 That was really on point (if a wee bit obscure) I had to look it up. Thanks for reading and teaching me something new today. 🙂
  14. Basically it's author branding. My fantasy is fantasy with LGBT characters not LGBT Fantasy. I don't market it as LGBT Fantasy. I don't think we should have to do that because Fantasy is Fantasy. That said a few people who read it commented on it being "Gay" or to "Cut out the Gay shit." It became clear that to truly reach the general fantasy market, I needed to keep my MM Romance books out of my AQG author brand. Now those are being published under Andy Gallo, and my fantasy under Andrew Q Gordon. This story would fit the Andy G brand, not the Andrew Q. one.

    Chapter 26

So much has changed since this started. Like I said in a previous response, all these comments have me thinking I need to revisit this once my life calms down a bit. Thanks so much for all the comments.

    Chapter 25

Yep, totally there with you on this one.

    Chapter 24

In a perfect world where literary fiction was something people really wanted instead of just said they did, I would love to write more about characters who are not in a romance or who are but are straight etc. The harsh reality is most MM readers want romance and romance means once you get the first kiss (which really means they walk off happy ever after - not literary the first kiss) readers lose interest and move on. Sure you'll get a small core, but it's not like it used to be where fiction was king and romance was in the wire racks at the grocery store check out. But who knows, right?

    Chapter 22

lol No. Dean isn't even curious in my mind. Just saying.

    Chapter 13

    lol sorry

    Chapter 9

Funny enough I do not remember anymore lol

    Chapter 6

No clue really. I think I used Tall Hot Guy in a novel I published last month, and I'm co-writing something that might have Deputy Hot Stuff.😇 I feel like I'm living in Dr. Suess's "Oh the thinks you can think" 🤓

    Chapter 5

If I had been writing this as a romance novel to be published, they would be the second book in the series. The problem is the 'first' story is something like 3-4 romance novels long - so too long, but I do have thoughts for this going forward. As an aside, you're reviews and comments put the tickle in me to revisit this whole "franchise" to see what I can do with it. So thank you very much for that needed kick in the arse! 🤙

    Chapter 1

I really need to revisit and clean this up. It's kinda a hot mess lol.
  24. This was hard to write, because I want to add EVERYTHING, but everything is REALLY boring, so it was a balancing act. But I still needed all the info to come out, so yeah, it was fun/ but hard.🤪
  25. I gotta keep mum on these questions
