(CHRIS’S POINT OF VIEW) After my chat with Patrick I think I have my way in. He acted all tough and holding his ground. It’s obvious he doesn’t want the others to find out that he has been lying to them and not just one lie but several lies! Most important though is the lie about who he is going out with more than anything is going to hurt him. I watched as Josh, Bernice and the rest sat there eating breakfast and talking. I know they don’t see me because I am not sitting in the same spot that

(CESAR’S POINT OF VIEW) I decided to talk with Eric and Bernice before talking to the other guys. I have learned since I have become part of this lunch group that I need these two in my corner when it comes down to Josh. If you don’t, you won’t stand a chance with Josh. I started to look for Eric and Bernice. Those two are always together if not with Josh. I hope when I find them, they are alone. If they aren’t, I will need to wait until they are. I don’t want it to look like I am going to the

(ERIC’S POINT OF VIEW) After I got Josh’s head out of the clouds, he started talking and getting involved with us. I know what is on his mind. I am going to do everything possible to get him to stop thinking about Chris if it kills me. I felt even better when I saw Josh pull Cesar off the side. It looks like my plan is working. Josh needs Cesar in order to get his mind off Chris. I hold hope that Cesar and Josh become an item and their relationship lasts a long time. I just have a gut feeling

(BERNICE’S POINT OF VIEW) With Josh out of town for the next couple of days, I am pretty bored. I normally hang with him at his house when we aren’t in school. It is getting closer to the holidays, and that means no school. I really hope Josh is here during that time. If he isn’t, I am going to pull my hair out. I decided on Saturday top go down and speak with Chris for the first time since he and Josh broke up. Josh asked me not to get involved, but I still see the hurt in his eyes. Chris rea

(DANIEL SR’s POINT OF VIEW) When I left the house I really felt bad. I felt it is too early for me to leave the kids right now. Martha and I just split up and I know she is out there causing trouble. My mother just moved in to help me out but my primary concern is Josh. Josh is now moving into his teen years, that are hard for any teen, but for him being gay is going to be even harder. The world has changed over the years. At least my son might have it a little easier than someone gay in my ge

(BERNICE’S POINT OF VIEW) None of us found Josh at lunch. That made me worry even more since I now know why he is staying away from us. Just as the bell rang I ran into Eric in the hallway. He looked just as concerned as I am. “Bernice where do you think Josh has gone off to?” “Right now I would figure Glee class. That is the only class you two don’t have together right?” “Before it was just fifth period, now it is fourth and fifth since Mrs. Nunez transferred Josh out to Glee class due to h

Dewayne heard Jacob come back into the room, get dressed and then leave again. He actually felt Jacob when he crawled out of bed earlier in the morning. Dewayne can’t stop worrying about Jacob. He knows one thing is for sure, Jacob needs to go checked out. These sleepless nights can’t continue. Just as Dewayne started to doze off again, he herd the bedroom door open and close again. Dewayne knows that Jacob just walked in. A few minutes later, Dewayne felt Jacob crawling into bed. Dewayne laid

Jacob woke up the next morning before Dewayne, so he just sat on the chair watching Dewayne sleep. Still Jacob can’t understand what Dewayne sees in him. He is a year older than Jacob, and he loves Jacob. Dewayne turned over to his side and opened his eyes. As he focused, he sees that Jacob is just sitting there watching him sleep. He stretched his arms out and smiled at Jacob. Dewayne pulled himself out of bed and walked over to Jacob. He knelt between his legs as he grabbed Jacob’s hands in h

Coach Campbell blew his whistle and ordered both lines to take a knee in the middle of the field as he and his staff made their way to join them. “I know I don’t have to tell you how important the outcome of today is to the future of the Cowboys.” Coach Campbell looked around at his team. “Here around me is a Super Bowl team. We have known that for a couple of years now but we haven’t been able to get firing on all cylinders. One thing or another went wrong, throwing our season into a tail spin

After the fireworks show was over, Jacob found Dewayne and the others sitting in the kitchen. He headed to go and get himself a bowl of cereal, but Franseca made him put the cereal back in the cabinet. She prepared him eggs, bacon and hash browns. As Jacob ate he came up with an idea of what to do. He already told his grandfather that he isn't going to go into the office today so he has the entire day to hang with Dewayne and his friends. He looked over at Dewayne and smiled; “Do you know that

Jacob and the guys spent most the night down in the game room. By midnight, everyone started to go their separate ways. Before they knew it, Jacob and Dewayne were by themselves just as they started earlier in the evening. Dewayne is sitting on the couch in the game room, with Jacob lying down with his head on Dewayne's lap. They find themselves alone for the first time for hours. Several times throughout the night, they thought they would never be alone. But here they are alone with each othe

Jacob walked into the Coliseum with Dewayne right behind him. They headed to the front row to try and get seats. They found the entire row empty, so Jacob and Dewayne selected their seats. Jacob needed to go to the back and report in with Major Moore. So he explained to Dewayne why he got up to leave. As Jacob walked to the back, he had to take several steps back. He thought he just saw Joey standing by the ticket booths. Jacob just looked and then just continued on his way. Jacob started to t

Coach Campbell wasn’t happy at all with his coaching staff. One of their biggest complaints when he came in and took over the head coaching position was that the old coach and owner never allowed them to take part in any decision making on anything dealing with the team. Now he sees why after yesterday’s back and forth. When it was all said and done, no decision was made. They were all confident the decision was taken out of their hands with Favre informing Campbell his intention to step down on

(JOSH’S POINT OF VIEW) Soon after we finished dinner, my dad called me into the study to talk. He saw there were things bothering me. I told him all about what Elizabeth did in the morning. As well as what Chris told me about his father. My dad actually gave me sound advice on what to do in order to get through each issue. I really do plan to take his advice on Elizabeth. Leopards don’t change their spots so Elizabeth has a motive behind what she is doing. I will be vigilant and protect myself

Chapter 6 Once they arrived at school, they headed over to the cafeteria. As soon as they grabbed their breakfast, Caleb found his friends. They went over and sat with him and almost immediately, Joey felt as if he were not even there. Lonnie, Kurt, Ivan in a couple other guys that Joey hadn't met yet pulled Caleb into there conversation. So Joey, Alan and Fran continue their conversation they had before they picked up Caleb. As soon as they finished eating, they got up and headed over to the

(FRANSECA’S POINT OF VIEW) The city bus dropped me off on Mesa Street, connecting to the street where Jacob lives. I am starting to use to the bus route from my house on the northeast side of town to the west side of town. Although I have to take several buses, it is worth it in the long run. I now have one job that pays me more than I made with three jobs and I was working way more hours. When I arrived at Jacobs’s house I went in and immediately felt there is something wrong in here today

After Dewayne stormed out of work yesterday, he couldn't help but think that he may have made the wrong choice. Dewayne has had his fair share of creeps in his life not unlike the store assistant manager and some even worse than him. Dewayne should not have allowed him to get under his skin like he did yesterday. Here Dewayne is barely out of high school and the only job he can get is flipping burgers at his local McDonald's restaurant. There is nothing wrong with that but Dewayne wants more

Back in El Paso Thelma was lugging down the last of the bags she was going to be taking with her to Dallas when she heard a knock on the door. Looking at the watch on her wrist she started to mumble to herself it was too early. She thought it was the taxi that she called to take her to the airport, but when she opened the door, she saw it wasn’t, it was her parents instead. Hesitantly she invited them in knowing why they were there. It wasn’t to wish her a safe trip or good luck. It was to cont

It was pure silence for almost ten minutes before the first person spoke and when he did, it restarted the same argument they just had. Jerry Jones and Coach Campbell looked on as the coaches tried to sell their vision of where the team should go. Each of them had good and bad ideas in their vision and it was up to Campbell and Jones to weed through it all. “Okay, okay!” Campbell yelled trying to get control of the conversation. “There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that each and every one of us

(DANIEL SR’s POINT OF VIEW) For the first time since I been back, I went into the office. When I walked in and saw the staff in the office, I didn’t recognize any of the soldiers. The private personnel are the same and for that I am glad. My soldiers that worked in the office here are right now across the ocean in a dessert fighting for our country. That makes me angry that I am stuck here unable to rejoin them. Every time I asked to go back, I have been denied. I thought when I got pulled out

Chapter 5 Joey couldn’t get any sleep once he got home and into his bed. He tossed and turned all night long. He pulled himself out of bed and got ready for work. He barely said a word to Fran and Alan as he grabbed a pop tart and headed out the door. On the way to pick up Caleb, Joey couldn’t stop thinking about what his mother told him the night before. If what she said is true, it can cause a lot of trouble for him. He needs to get in front of a judge quickly. With the recent beating Domini

(ALEJANDRO’S POINT OF VIEW) As I walked into my room, I tried to be as quiet as possible in so I won’t wake up Matt. Without turning on the lights, I made it to my bed. I kicked off my shoes and didn't even bother the change out of my Levi's. Before leaving my moms house, I changed out of my suit back into the clothes I arrived in. I tried to go to sleep, but no matter what I did. All I did was toss and turn. I finally sat back up and just sat on the edge of my bed. At first, I just stared out

(GRANDPA’S AL POINT OF VIEW) The rest of the weekend went off without a problem. I worried every minute that the boy's father will be knocking on our door and wanting something. This guy hasn't been around for his kids basically from the day they were born. Now here he is following one of his kids around town. What the hell is going on in his head right now? One thing is for sure I will not allow him to come in and take apart a family that is already holding on by a thread. From the break

“Wow Troy, Coach Campbell doesn’t look too pleased on what is going on out there with his defensive line on the field right now. He looks like he wants to tear off the heads of the referees and I surely don’t blame him. The Washington Redskins are just rolling right over the Dallas defense and they seem to have no answer to what is happening out on the field.” “No Joe, they haven’t been able to put together a stop yet here today. But it isn’t unusual for the Dallas team this year. It was suppos
