    Chapter 19

Good chapter, as usual, thank you, Mark and welcome back!

    My Hometown

A terrific chapter, you did it once again, Carlos! I found the exchange between CJ and Lourdes very well, loved the fact that CJ sent his brother away before telling their mom what he really thinks. It is really thoughtful of CJ to try not to shatter the relationship between Ritchie and his mother. Well done, Carlos. By the way, feel free to spoil us again this week, I'm ready for the next chapter. J.A.
  3. Carlos, I really could get used to two chapters in the same week, you know I'm a bit greedy and never get tired of reading about CJ and clan! Great chapter, and CJ keeps on growing up... Best regards J.A.
  4. 'Concretosaurus'! Interesting way to look at Calatrava's work. Just yesterday I was in one of his buildings in Valencia, in a part of the city which could swell be named "Calatrava's Theme Park" (have a look at it http://www.cac.es/landpage/?lang=en_EN). As usual, loved the interaction within both groups and between adults and kids. And I agree with Cesar (or was it Brett?), CJ is one of his kind. Great chapter, Carlos, looking forward for more (greedy, I know ) J.A.
  5. Hi Carlos! Loved the conversation between CJ and Papa Brett: good writing, raw emotions and CJ acting a hurt 15 y.o. We keep forgetting how he came to DC to live with his dad: that has to leave a pretty deep scar... But you are writing an always positive CJ who never wallows in self pity. Good job! Wish you the best, can't wait till next chapter. Thanks, Jose

A problem with two chapters in the same week? Are you kidding or smoking something strange? THANK YOU very much, Carlos, I', always looking forward to reading about CJ and family. Nice chapter by the way.
  7. Good job, Gary, a really nice chapter. It is stunning the way you have to let us feel how the love between Michael and Kendall is growing. Can't wait till the baby is here! J.A.

    Autumn

It will be interesting to see CJ's reaction to "last rites" for his uncle Tom. An interesting turn of events, Tom is going to be okay ( ), CJ is getting to his usual self and things come slowly to their place. Thanks for the new chapter of OUR DC family.
  9. Dear Carlos, thank you for bringing CJ and the 'elite eight' back to us. I've been feeling like missing good friends, so thank you for sharing your writing skills! Keep us posted with the new adventures of "my Washington family". Best regards, José

    Chapter 43

    Welcome back! Jose A.
  11. Mark, thank you for the update. I know very well (quite personally in fact) how stressful some academic periods can get and how energy must be shifted from one side to the other to come up with papers, life etc. I really admire your writing skills and have no doubt that in due time you'll find again the way back to your writing for us. Just a joke: a publisher I work with is based on the "Schlüterstraße" (Schluter-street) in Hamburg (Germany). I have now lots to deal with him, so I keep being reminded of our Californian family. Take good care of life! Best regards, JA
  12. I was wondering why we were getting no updates of your stories... Wish you the best to get over this hiatus. Take care and come back whenever it becomes possible. Wish you and your team all the best, J.A.

    Chapter 33

Thank you for the Christmas present, Mark. Again a nice twist in the story... AS always, you've left me wishing the next chapter would be right up for reading... As usual, wish you the best.

    Chapter 26

Thank you Mark for the new chapter. I've enjoyed reading it as an advanced Christmas present. I wish you the best for the holidays, Happy christmas and a great successful 2015 to you and your team. J.A.

    Chapter 25

I am just starting to love the evil streak on Mrs. Danfield... But knowing Mark's ability to twist a plot, it wouldn't surprise me to find a dark past in Hammer's CV. Thank you, Mark, for keeping me hooked on your stories... since Book 1 of CAP.

    Chapter 16

Dear Mark, sorry to be so picky but as a spaniard I can't imagine a ship called 'Santa Brigada', maybe ´Santa Brígida', a female saint and a town on the island of Gran Canaria. 'Brigada' is Spanish for 'brigade'... A fascinating development on this story. Thank you for sharing your intense writing skills with us! Best regards, José-Antonio

    Chapter 30

That is a really nice surprise, Bridgemont meets CAP. It seems like some sort of synergy, where our dear author "recycles" the research for one wonderful story to enrich another wonderful one. Keep the excellent work, Mark, I'll do my best to keep up with reading it. Thanks for sharing your writing skills with us! Best regards, José-Antonio
  18. Two days ago I ranted a bit over cliffhangers, today we get two chapters. Thanks Mark, I loved your way of describing this day using that many POVs, recreating the confusion without confusing your readers. Once again, congrats on your excellent work... and perfect timing. I hope it won't take you too long to post chapter 39! JoseAntonio

    Chapter 36

I have never been fond of cliffhangers: I understand their purpose but this time I think it is awfully cruel, not because of the writer, but because of the facts being told. Mark in these five years of writing you have created at least two different unverses (Bridgemont and CAP) and made us known with a whole family of characters which have sort of evolved to a reality. Leave us hanging there... I just can't wait (just a bit under three hours in Spain to midnight) to read on what happens to "my CAP-family". I saw the second plane hitting the South Tower live on TV... after getting a WTC-postcard from a friend. Somehow it was difficult to understand how such an attack was at all possible, somehow I felt secure in Spain... until two years later, when several commuter trains in Madrid were bombed by radical terrorists (I refuse to bring the name of a religion with several hundred millions believers together with the concept of 'terrorism'). It is difficult, but I can imagine and somehow I'm reliving those terrible events throug this narration of 9-11. Thanks Mark. I definitely don't like cliffhangers, but I like the fact that I once came by chance across your writing. Keep the fantastic job there, Mark!

    Chapter 28

Thank you for this double issue (Crampton-Schluter-Hayes-Hobart + Granger) and for five years of joy reading your work.
  21. Marcel is an academic as well (he got a tenure track position in Montreal, cf. 'Bloodlines').

    Chapter 46

Thank you Mark for carving time off your holiday to supply us with another excellent chapter. Keep the great work... But have your very well earned rest time with your family!

    Chapter 41

Great work as usual, Mark. I'm just wondering where are Ace, Cass and Courtney in a crisis that big. If I remember it right, they were living at Escorial, weren't they?

    Chapter 41

Welcome back, Mark. I just got home from a very stressful working day longing for my "Crampton-Schluter-Hayes-fix" and there you are! Great chapter, thank you!
  25. For me it is very sad to read that PMS is on hold. I must confess I've become sort of addicted to my "CAP-fixes" and I admire the huge amount of work Mark put up with to keep us readers satisfied. I can only hope that this very earned break won't last too long. Dear Mark, THANKS for hors of pleasure just reading your stories: get your inspiration and strength back and let us soon enjoy more adventures from the lives of the Crampton-Schluter-Hayes families!
