I think it hit home when I went out to eat with a group from college ( I was 27 and most of them were 18 at the time) and the check was brought to me and the waiter called me 'Sir'. Left no doubt in my mind I was suddenly the grown up. When was the last time someone did something nice for you for no apparent reason?

Round to make it easy to get on and off I would assume. Answered an earlier question about looking at world events cause I found it interesting. The world is a lot smaller now then when I was in school. I have friends I talk with, send cards to, and have been invited to their wedding in Germany that I am closer to now due to the internet. I think the days of only following your own events without looking at what is happening elsewhere is long gone. Whether it is the problems with money in the US or Greece, the cruise ship accident, or the problems of production in Japan you need to keep a world eye now, not just a county, state, or country look. Do you write out cards or notes to people, are you strictly digital where it is digital birthday cards, or do you feel it isn't necessary to keep in contact that way?

Not really. I am pretty easy to get along with and it would take a lot to make me distance myself. I'll talk with anyone. However there are subjects I will shy away from because I don't want to alienate or become scornful because of someone's stance. Needless to say I stay out of the soapbox so I don't do politics or religion. When it comes to your choices are you the kind who will take advice or it is my way only?
