  2. Are you trying to assign me sex education homework, Panda?
  3. 1 - The thankless - You lend a hand and do something for someone is it really so hard to say thank you? 2 - The thoughtless - This extends to many people and many areas. From those who run conversations on their phones at the checkout, to the boss who alters your schedule without letting you know, to the idiot on the road who pulls into your lane - in front of you without so much as a signal light on, and the people who just show up uninvited to your house because 'you are such a close friend'. To them show a little consideration to your fellow human beings. 3. - The stupid - People who read your name tag and ask if that is really your name. No, I had nothing better today than try to make a fool out of you. People who try to use a coupon that is six weeks expired but can't seem to understand why the store can't take it. The people who show up to make a return of something they bought a year ago, but it isn't open, so you should just wait while they scream how they don't understand why the store won't return this and how they are such great customers. Sorry, but if you were a great customer, you wouldn't wait a year to return something. Hell if I have something I don't need I'm back with it within a day or two, not eleven or twelve months. Wake up and smell the coffee.
  4. Thanks Rosie. That helps.
  5. Alright so I did a beta now get the rest written so everyone can read it. Ladies and Gents we have someone to keep an eye here. Don't let him fool you. Welcome Midnight Man. Consider yourself adopted.
  6. The Hobbit is what I did my undergrad and graduate thesis on. Not so light a tale but no where near the darkness of the Lord of the Rings. The encounter with Smaug and the forest elves, plus the time under the ground should all make for good stories, plus the first time you meet Smegal. Although Bilbo will be out of the fighting as he is kept innocent the whole time. I'm hoping the movie is half as good as the Lord.
  7. First you want to kick Charlie in the privates, now Tina's head on a stick and you feel protective of Charlie now. Well at least I know you are interested in the characters. I am enjoying your comments and wonder what you will think as you get further into this. Oh and please don't try to read it all in one sitting. You'll be up all night.

  9. Yes, Cia nailed it right on the head and I went through three different editors before Intune. Can't say Charlie is perfect but he is a hell of a lot better than he was without the imput of my beta and editor.
  10. Aww. Poor Charlie. He so isn't an alpha dog. But give him time, he does have teeth.
  11. Glad you got it Joe. Figured this was just something fun and different to approach.
  12. Me, evil? No. I'm innocent I tell you. O:)
  13. The prompts are fun because they are meant to be short and get your creative juices flowing. Unfortunately one or two of them took and became massive things. Glad you are enjoying it so far.
  14. Anyone who knows me, knows I am not a big fan of creating threads for myself. It is part and parcel of getting your story out there though. However, I have been one of the many people reading and enjoying Daniel's first story. Granted I might be a bit prejudice because I am helping to beta the story but I think it is something well worth the read. In addition to it be Daniel's first work here, presently on its third chapter, it is his second language. So if you like horses, foreign lands, attractive men, bossy women, and tender moments give this story a try. Leave him some love and comments as you do. The story can be found here. https://www.gayauthors.org/story/daniel89/wherehorsesdance
  15. Actually prescription sunglasses. I get lazy going out. Guess if you guys want to see me it will have to be at the East Coast Get Together. Just don't bring a camera. I'm good at hiding. lol
  16. I might work around electronics but nothing will ever touch a book in my world.
  17. Now if they do a Mortal Instruments movie that I would want to go see. Especially after reading the second part of the series with Lilith.
  18. Are we voluntarily doing this?
  19. Probably the bike I got growing up. I can't say I've ever really been given anything that expensive. Most gifts fall between 20 and 30 dollars. What was the romantic thing ever done for you?
  20. Hold on, who is mating with whom?
  21. Yeah, I loved Kiki's Delivery Service, Ponyo, and a bunch of the others that Disney has released over here. I'd kind of forgotten about them. Maybe I'll watch Spirited Away again tonight.
  22. Well there are a few things being discussed so I will pipe in with a few answers of my own. Depression due to the season - I am one that battles the winter season often. I don't do well with the lack of light and all. I find I need to do things to bring me up. For me a way to raise my serotonin level is by cooking, especially dark chocolate things. Between the cooking and the eating I feel better. It also helps to raise my mood by having scented candles around. The scents can help me feel better and I don't look for things that are overly strong. I just like a subtle scent in the air. Hugs. I can't claim I come from a big hugging family. My mother was one but the rest of my family is not. So I am the sort that revels in a good hug from someone I know, but otherwise you will find I offer a hand shake. However it is that human connection that makes me feel better whether from a hug or handshake. It allows you to feel as though you are part of something and reminds you people care.
  23. Um there is a single picture of me here, not clear and not one I am going to update any time soon. Quasi good at hiding. lol https://www.gayauthors.org/forums/gallery/image/5733-me-at-the-pumphouse/
