  1. Live action - Batman Returns (Still haven't seen Captain America so can't comment there.) Cartoon - Dr. Strange (Marvel finally got one perfectly. I really enjoyed it.) Who is your favorite Super heroine?
  2. We all like to think we are superhuman. Nothing bad can happen to me. When things go wrong I can handle it. Okay, I'm old, I definitely know better but doesn't mean I don't delude myself on occasion. I can't pick up the pieces as they are shattered. I can't help everyone. I can't do it all. I'm human. I bend and if I am not careful I will break. Today showed me I am not as young as I use to be. Moved wrong and I pulled something in my back. I've found a few new words I didn't know as I tried to edge myself into a seat. My back has been having little spasms ever since. Who knew even sitting down could hurt? Anyway just going to try to finish up a little bit and then go to bed. Have a good one all.
  3. Ted Olsen unconsciously cuts himself. HARPS
  4. Rats, you had to go to my weakness. I sort of have three favorites in that arena. The Last Unicorn - Peter S. Beagle, The Hobbit - JRR Tolkien, and Magic Kingdom for Sale: Sold - Terry Brooks. Who is your favorite super hero?
  5. Am I the only one feeling a little sheepish?
  6. Isn't he a little young for that?
  7. More than once. Nothing ticks me off more than reading a series that an author didn't know how to end and you sit there going it would be best if the last book was never written. What is one event that you are looking forward to this year?
  8. Can we take pictures?
  9. Grant really eats at Tonillio's? DINER
  10. When do I get to look?
  11. Is that why you have an x there?
  12. Gee, I hope if you make it people notice.
  13. Although it might benefit people to wait till you have revised them and then read them one after the other straight through to the end.
  14. Yes, more than once. What do you look for, or have you found, in a partner that you realize complements you?
  15. When did this become x rated?
  16. Luke's Innocence Calms Kenny's Sex-drive. DIRTY
  17. Alright anyone who knows me, knows I have no problem trying to help others if I can. It was part of the reason I had originally become a teacher, to help others learn and enjoy what I loved. Trust me, this is just a round about way to get to a few subjects. First up - The Prompts. I enjoy creating them so much. I hope they inspire others to take a chance and just have fun with them. They shouldn't be a problem. The other thing is you should never feel like you are doing wrong because the prompt that spoke to you isn't one from this week. The prompts are there to help you explore new ideas, get away from the regular routine, rethink how to approach something, and most important, to have fun and let your imagination take flight. Secondly - There are many wonderful writers here. They fill so many gaps that exist in the published world. I enjoy taking the time to read some, but I will admit that lately I haven't had as much time as I would like to poke around and read. However when I do read anyone's work I do try to leave a comment. If you are expecting something cruel from me, forget it. If I do find an error in something I read, I do pm the author so they know and can fix it if they like, but I will never put that in a review to embarrass them. To me, that is just simple respect for others in my craft. Third - Publishing. I am proud to see various authors on here get their work published. If you find a publisher willing to take your work and put it forward I commend you. I know how hard it is to get that done, and have more than my share of rejection letters as well. Finally - I work as a writer and as a beta. For years I wrote and had a group of fellow authors who passed their work back and forth and wrote all over the copies making suggestions and fixing grammar and punctuation. To me, working in a group helps because it shows where a weakness is in a story as well as its strengths. To those I work with now as a beta my only job is suggest things to help you and make your work shine, never feel you must take a suggestion as the final word. You are the author and the story is yours. To those who have worked with me as a beta and to those who will in the future - my gratitude to you knows no bounds.
  18. I really enjoy the effort and imagination you put into this prompt, Percy. You really bring everything to life here.
  19. Why didn't someone warn me earlier???
