  5. Okay, Mark, I've read Ch. 12...you are an expert at plot twists, but you know that already don't you? I particularly was surprised by the Marcel incident in Chicago and the incident at the dinner table at Escorial, but I'm pleased that you have Stef willing to give Marcel a chance to realize what he's done and repair his relationships with the family--mainly because Marcel's being in the US is because of Stef in the first place... Keep up the great writing! I can't wait for the next, and the next and the next....
  6. Prada, Gucci YSL, Judith Lieber (although most of them are too small)... But I'll settle for a good old-fashioned paper sack.......after all, who wants to waste puke on a bag that isn't even worth $hit?
  7. Mark, I've thoroughly enjoyed all the stories in the CAP series, and my only gripe about your hosted website section is the lack of ability to resize the font...making reading difficult on my BlackBerry when away from home and the PC...
  8. I expect we'll find the Wilcox officer sinking his own ship, or read news of it at some point...or worse, going to the rocks... Caroline, otoh, is such a nymphomaniac that the pregnancy is an experience in the effects of hormonal therapy for her... ...and the nice thing is that she gave our Georgie boy permission to go out and keep himself happy!

  12. The only problem I can see with it as it is now is that with the images of recent visitors also loading at the top of the page, the site is overloading with image downloads which slows the page loading terribly.

  15. One of the largest lottery prizes here in the states was $386M...the lump sum payment option, which was taken, was approximately $193M. After Federal taxes at the time, the remainder was approximately $135M, it was tax free in the state it was won in, due to no income tax in the state. Assuming they won something like that in today's economy, with the same net to the winner's pocket, that $135M will garner more than $2.43M in interest per year. The $2.43M figure is based on the "simple" calculation--most savings, T-bills, and such garner compounded interest, which would increase that figure somewhat. The state of the winner does not tax, so the earnings are not taxed, only the federal unearned income tax applies to the interest, fairly hefty based on the amount, but still leaves a tidy sum to live on. I'd still like to hit around $500M in the MegaLotto in California...
  16. Those two are worth the whole experience...I wish I had thought of those when my grandmother was in her youth, and I in my 4 and 5 year old days! Going on her all-day shopping marathons all over the county (and I mean ALL over--before freeways were here)...those two could have saved me from HOURS of boredom!
