They played this song on the radio while I was driving to work.
It made me think. Is anyone but me still listening to the radio, or do you prefer to stream your favorite playlists, podcasts, or audiobooks? I like the radio in the morning. I catch up on the news, good or bad, and the local weather report, and I get to hear new or very old songs. This week's prompts have been inspired by the aforementioned song.
    PT Prompt #340
You or your main character are/is waiting by a red light. It’s hot and sunny, and the convertible behind is loudly blaring Dara’s Bangaranga.
    PT Prompt #341

So, it’s the 2026 World Cup. Is anyone interested in soccer games? Normal people can’t afford to watch the games live in the stadiums, I’m told. To stay with the radio theme. Two friends are going on a road trip. One is a huge Soccer fan who loves the official World Cup song, Dai Dai, and is listening to Shakira, singing along and shaking their butt the entire time, be it behind the wheel or on the passenger seat. Do they reach their destination together?LOL

Did my videos the radio star? Or motive the plot bunnies?

Do you have one? Or two? Mine is too cringeworthy to tell...

    PT Prompt #333

You or your main character are/is invited to a motto party. The motto: Childhood heroes. Who is their childhood hero? Is it difficult to create the costume? What’s the reason for the party? Write their story in as many words as you need, but do not just answer the questions; just saying....
    PT Prompt #334

It’s a wedding party, not necessarily the protagonist’s. A relative entertains everyone with embarrassing stories about them and their childhood hero. What to do? Hiding or owning it?

Soon we will switch to summertime/daylight saving time and have to get up one hour earlier. There are those people who love it; they jump out of bed with a bright smile. And then there’s me, my dragon, the cats, and the dog, who start the day more or less sleepwalking. What about you?

This time, we will write about the problems the switch causes.
    PT Prompt #329

Every clock adjusts itself to the right time. Every clock? No, the one your protagonist always uses shows the old time. They remember to change to summertime, but sadly, in the wrong direction.  A day of horror ensues. Or not?
    PT Prompt # 330

Celebrate the new season, either with a poem, a song, or a short flash fiction piece.

Once upon a time, my friends and I played this game where you had to draw something, and the other group tried to guess the subject, film, saying, etc. So, I thought we could draw with our words this time.

    PT Prompt #325:

Draw a well-known movie title without actually naming it, linking it, or using any other electronic tricks. Just your words. No AI. Who guesses right and earns virtual brownie points?

Yesterday, I went to work forgetting the thermos with my Advent Calendar tea; no biggie, but it was an uncomfortable bus ride. Nothing to do with my hands, cold, and I noticed lots of people wrapped up in scarves, hats, and whatnot, even though it wasn’t that cold, which resulted in sweating humans. Eew.
Now, I want you to write about everyday mishaps.
    PT Prompt #316:

Alex forgot the salad they promised to bring to the potluck party at work. While it’s standing perfectly seasoned and wrapped in cellophane in the fridge at home, they have to improvise, quickly. No store-bought dishes allowed. Tell us how Alex works around it.

A.J. lost his phone. When he calls, the police answer. Explain.

Do you sometimes wish you had another job, apartment, car, family, or lived in another country? The list is probably endless and different for everyone.

Someone wakes up in the morning, and it seems the fairy godmother has granted them their greatest wish. What is it and what are the consequences? More importantly, are they happy?

We all read, and/or have written a story in first person, third person (limited, omniscient), but what about second person?

There are some great examples where writers have used this POV. I thought we would expand our horizon, get out of our comfort zone, stretch our wings, and try something new.
    PT #307:

Write a vignette, or something longer, where you address your reader.
    PT#308:

It’s that time where we stumble over pumpkins everywhere: on the internet, in the grocery shop, and on our neighbor’s giant inflatable witch.
Let’s start early with writing about creepy creatures this year.

    PT Prompt #305:

Interview with a Vampire? Boring; read the book, wore the t-shirt, watched the movies plus sequels. Yawn.
You’re working for a blog, and your boss has the brilliant idea to interview a ghost. She sends you to an allegedly haunted house where you wait for the interviewee, voice recorder at the ready.

    PT Prompt #306:

If I could talk to my favorite anime character, it would be Sebastian Michaelis, and if it were my favorite game’s character, at the moment, it would be Vincent Valentine. I know, I know, a little demonic, but it’s that time of the year.
How about you? Talk to your favorite characters, be it in a game, book, movie, anime, whatever. Make it a little spooky, if possible.

A few months ago, I encouraged authors to try writing a collaborative story. No one took the gauntlet. Now, I read about taking down the site by writing a collab story. Should we try this again?
    PT #299

    Write a collab story.
    a) Discuss alternately about an anthology theme.
b)Two or three people go to a party. Write the story from their perspectives.
    PT #300

As a nod to the upcoming anthology:
The MCs lie on a blanket in the park, watching the sky. They try to spot creatures formed by clouds and attempt to show them to each other. (This is supposed to be a collab, too.)

We’re confronted with choices throughout our entire life. Some are important and others are mundane, at least at first. Which line should you choose at the supermarket checkout? Blue or pink shirt? Tie or no tie? Which character to kill in your own story or in a video game? Apply for this job or that? Food, friends, the list is indefinite.

I want to explore how people make choices.

Valkyrie already told you that we’re trying a few new twists for the prompt blog. Last time, she wrote the beginning of a story and some of you continued it in the comment section. IMHO, the stories turned out quite well.
This time, I’ll provide the ending, and you will write the matching story using the comments. 🤞

Let me recap the prompt. We provided the ending of a story, and you had to work backward to its beginning using the comments.
The result is a 3.5k words long story. Yep, you read right, 3.5k. You hit it out of the park, guys. Since this is a bit long to copy/paste into a blog entry, we’ve invited a new member to GA:  The Prompter.  We’re counting on future bouts of fantastic creativity, and this will also make it easier to find these wonderful prompt collaborations.

We heard there was some confusion about the instructions, which means we will fine-tune them a little next time. But you can always ask questions, and we will try to answer them as soon as possible.
Before we come to the story, I tried to fit all your cool ideas into a proper frame. I had to exclude one idea as it didn’t fit into the collab; it was its own story. Check it out in the original prompt blog. As I said, we’ll work on the instructions.
Are you ready for a wild ride?
