    This year I’m going to clear out the shed. I’ll try this long hike someone recommended. I won’t sleep in every day.  I’ll eat healthy, all these yummy vegetables and fruit that are available now. I will finish the story that has been on hold for so long. Summer break starts on Monday, and I have a very long list. What about you? Maybe try to write a prompt story?

    They played this song on the radio while I was driving to work.
    It made me think. Is anyone but me still listening to the radio, or do you prefer to stream your favorite playlists, podcasts, or audiobooks? I like the radio in the morning. I catch up on the news, good or bad, and the local weather report, and I get to hear new or very old songs. This week's prompts have been inspired by the aforementioned song.

    Everyday Mishaps

    Yesterday, I went to work forgetting the thermos with my Advent Calendar tea; no biggie, but it was an uncomfortable bus ride. Nothing to do with my hands, cold, and I noticed lots of people wrapped up in scarves, hats, and whatnot, even though it wasn’t that cold, which resulted in sweating humans. Eew.
    Now, I want you to write about everyday mishaps.

    Let’s get technical

    We all read, and/or have written a story in first person, third person (limited, omniscient), but what about second person?
     

    There are some great examples where writers have used this POV. I thought we would expand our horizon, get out of our comfort zone, stretch our wings, and try something new.

    This is the end... The Story

    Let me recap the prompt. We provided the ending of a story, and you had to work backward to its beginning using the comments.
    The result is a 3.5k words long story. Yep, you read right, 3.5k. You hit it out of the park, guys. Since this is a bit long to copy/paste into a blog entry, we’ve invited a new member to GA:  The Prompter.  We’re counting on future bouts of fantastic creativity, and this will also make it easier to find these wonderful prompt collaborations.
     

     
    We heard there was some confusion about the instructions, which means we will fine-tune them a little next time. But you can always ask questions, and we will try to answer them as soon as possible.
    Before we come to the story, I tried to fit all your cool ideas into a proper frame. I had to exclude one idea as it didn’t fit into the collab; it was its own story. Check it out in the original prompt blog. As I said, we’ll work on the instructions.

    Superbowl for Dummies

    A few weeks ago, Val and I talked about football of all things. She rooted for the Bills, naturally, and I for the Chiefs.
    Do I hear an outcry? Yes, yes, I’m the first to admit I don’t have a clue. Around here, we play soccer, handball, basketball, and mini-golf. My family and friends like the smaller teams who don’t earn a ton of money and can’t buy anthing or anyone, but that’s another topic.
