He's come through one hell of an ordeal and survived. He's got an inner strength and a toughness that will help him to endure whatever may come, including an overbearing Lacey, or an angry, jealous James. At least I hope so. I don't want to see him get beaten up by his new family, that would be awful. Was good to understand how this huge house came into the picture, and yeah, I realised when Lacey mentioned that Luke was going to be working in CID at the Met that they house must be up London way, not in the Valleys like I'd assumed.

I totally appreciated that you gave us a chance to see things through Sacha's eyes. He's lived such a warped existence with pain and consequence for every twist and turn in his previous life, the poor boy is simply out of his depths in his new home, surrounded by people who he expects one thing from but gets another. He's 17 and has no social skills at all poor thing, and it must be terrible for him. No one likes uncertainty, it slowly drives us insane. Aww I feel so for this boy. I really did like the fact we got to live through his eyes for a moment in this chapter, it gave me a chance to appreciate this boy even more, and again I loved the humour you worked into things. The shower scene especially had me chuckling. I suspect that Sacha is going to have a lot more moments of overwhelming uncertainty and indifference before he can begin to settle down, and I do worry a bit about Justin arriving home. That could be interesting, but a volatile situation too! Interesting times ahead.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know the exact episode of SVU you are talking about. It was soooo sad. I had wondered if that was where you'd drawn the idea from. I never realised that Alex was from such a well off family. Sounds like a palace he has come home too! Must be really overwhelming to be treated to a limo for the first time, then arrive at Fort Knox of the Valleys and realise that this is your home now! wow. And I am sooooo sorry Nephy, but the moment I saw he was called Ryland, I couldn't help but associate him with the Ryland from X Factor a few years ago, and that soooooo does not fit with some mean killer bastard image. Made me burst out in chuckles thinking of a camp as tits scene queen with a blinged out gun in skinny jeans and eight inch stilettos.

I gotta say Nephy, Lacey cracks me up. I love her character, the interaction between her and her father, the way Luke was bold enough to silence her by shocking her at his boldness. It had me giggling in the midst of some pretty serious stuff going on in this chapter, and I love that you've taken the time to work a sense of humour into the darkness. I think that the complexity of this evil web will begin to unravel a little now. I mean it stands to reason that very man that visited this farmhouse has just as much riding on no loose ends being left untied, so how many others are out there willing to take a shot at silencing poor Alex. This could become a hellish situation for the family as they try to piece their lives back together. And even if they do get the kingpin, does that mean that the others are simply going to give up the quest to silence him, or step up their efforts. Oh brother.

Oh what a tease. Cliff hangers too boot! Jeeeeeesh. Ok, this guy seriously needs to be castrated, strung up, flogged, tarred and feathered, hung drawn and quartered, stretched on a rack, erm.......... What other tortures can I reign down on his body to cause him lengthy pain and suffering before his breath if slowly choked from his worthless pathetic body. Yep, I'm somewhat mad eh! You know, I think we've all be so bloody cross with someone in our lives we've thought to ourselves, "gosh I could kill him/her!" But to plan such evil and carry it out.......... That takes one sick, cold son of a bitch. You have created a character that is sooooo easy to despise Nephy. I normally like to take time to get to at least know a character a bit before making a conclusion about how I feel about someone in the plot, but this dude..... Ah hell, my skin crawls and he makes me feel ill. To provoke that level of a reaction that quickly is pretty impressive and while I don't like what it took to get that level of a reaction, I can respect that as a writer that's pretty slick writing chick. So where the hell is Frank off to in such a hurry. Tell you what, this erm ******** best not be at the hospital trying something on, I'll be in my car on my way to Cardiff myself if he is!

Erm, I seriously don't like the sound of that fire. I suspect I might be wanting to commit murder before this story goes all that far Nephy. I sense that the ******* has done something terrible. But then to be that kind of creep and survive, you have a sixth sense of trouble heading your way, and have the ruthless balls to cut all ties and walk away. Lacey reminds me of my next door neighbour when I used to live in Swansea. She's lush! Luke seems pretty sensible. He know's Lacey's in charge. Long road ahead, and a lot of downs to come me finks.

Oh my god. What kind of resolve and mental strength does it take to know you are sitting across the table from your son, a son who has been stolen from you, abused, tormented and tortured, altered, used, lied to........ God, what has his son not gone through since being abducted? And all the while he is sitting there knowing this fact, he must maintain his professionalism. A level of decorum, a calm attitude and a steady approach........ How? That must simple have killed him inside. Wow, what a powerful storyline you've created in with this unfolding situation Nephy. The emotional tension and the inner turmoil both of these characters are going through is so visceral and dark, you cannot help but live it with each of them, and on such different levels. You've created this vividly surreal path of complex personal discovery each is taking in this unfolding scenario with such clarity, yet so simply that it touches the reader immediately and I find myself engrossed in the narrative, wanting to see the very best come to these two as they are reunited. Amazing.

Chuffing heck Nephy, what a start!!! Pretty much think even the sewer rats under the cells could smell something rotten sitting in the custody suite. Damn, this dude creeps me out and it's just chapter one. I remember watching an episode of Law and Order where the one kid was picked up by the cops and was soooooo desperate to get home, coz he knew if he didn't get back the others were going to get a kicking. That is just sick. OMG, come on Frank, do something and arrest this creep.

Sooooooooooo glad that Jimmy is out of hospital. I don't know why, but he is one of my favourite characters of this story. Just hope that he continues to get better. AJ is turning out to be a real jerk, and Billy is learning that some gay people really are just shallow and self centred. Ah well. So Lee knew. That's sad. Trapped in the middle not knowing what to do. Argh. I guess his loyalty lies more towards Joanna but still.

Um ya, I am even less impressed by this AJ fellow now. what a plonka! And wow, Brandon made a move to visit Billy's house......... This is actually getting somewhere now.

I loved the whole lord of the flies thing too, so I can identify with that bit. Um sad that Sam hurt Billy that much. In the period of adjusting to the fact that your mate has knifed you and your ex is now the centre of his attention is a difficult time. It'll get easier Billy.
