    Chapter 39

Hahahaha, first time blow job. Boy's growing up soooo fast. Still rather selfish if I do say so, but heck I guess he is kind of anticipating getting some, so it is to be expected right? Still, if anything, he's only pushing Joanna towards Sam. But then, that can't be such a bad thing.

    Chapter 38

I suspect that Sam might have solved Billy's little Joanna problem, even though he isin't able to see it yet. I wonder how he's going to take that?

    Chapter 37

Jeeeeesh, Jimmy would be a downer on your weekend? Wow, that's just a ikle bit selfish Billy. Ok, ok your a teenager so I guess it's to be expected, but still. And yes, it is cheating dude. Have to face facts unfortunately. Brandon in boxers sounds SOOOOOOOOOO hot.

    Chapter 1

Wayne, I think you captured everything I tried to put into a story several thousand words long in one paragraph. I am always amazed at your ability to empathise and feel, and seeing your review, and hearing that you understood and got the sense of what I tried to convey is such a great feeling to me as a writer, I can't quite put my appreciation into adequate words.Thank you. x

    Chapter 1

Hey BillThanks for reading and I am really glad you got the underlying theme. I truly appreciate that you feel that people who returned from such a hellish experience would have appreciated the story, that is the best thing in the world to hear. Love getting your feedback so thanks pal. x

    Chapter 1

Hi GaryThanks so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I'm glad you enjoyed the story, and have to admit much like you, there are things that I too play what if with all the time. I think it is just a part of being human and wishing that sometimes we'd taken the chance and done things differently. Have a great weekend.

    Chapter 36

I agree. Watching a good fight or seeing someone get their cummupence is kind of a release of built up tension. Can't deny that violence sometimes has a positive effect, even it is the last resort. So Billy is no more an unkissed gay boy ey? Hehe. It's a shame it had to happen in a bathroom though.

    Bright Thunder

I saved this for last. Two reasons really. Firstly I love the name Seth, it just rolls off the tongue so sexily. And I figured this was going to be a good read, and I certainly was not disappointed. Damn Sasha, your ability to bring words to life is completely remarkable. I loved the interaction between these two, the love, passion, care and emotion was visceral. From the descriptions of fear in the cupboard to standing on a surfboard cutting through the waves, you have an ability to paint a picture with words that can't be mistaken or misunderstood. The dialogue and detail in your story leaves the reader feeling as if they are physically there, a witness to the action unfolding before their eyes. Your are a superbly capable and talented writer, and being able to read your work is always a pleasure. Thank you for a stunningly superb entry, and for being a hugely respected member of this community. As a reader on GA it is writers like you that keep us inspired and constantly coming back for more.

    Emergence

I think that final sentence is the most powerful emotion of the whole story. To forgive something so evil and despicable is something very special and remarkable to say the very least. I'm not sure I'd be able to do that if it had been me. A remarkable story of hope and possibility, regardless of the pain and suffering that Toby had to endure. I am glad that there was a positive outcome to so much devastation in the life of an innocent and unwary individual that didn't deserve such horror. Well done Valkyrie, that was really well done.

    Chapter 1

Whoa that was pretty gruesome! That fight scene was pretty epic, my only feeling was it ended too quickly. hehe. I wanted Sal to suffer more! The descriptions of smell and aroma was so clear and alive it was really awesome. Never been much of a fan of Werewolf and Vampire stories, but sometimes they are really intense and vividly creative. I loved the action in this. So, the moral I get from this story is that when you rather fancy someone shy and reserved, just give them a good bite and you'll win their hearts forever. hehe Sorry just had to be a little mischievous. Thanks Wayne, that was fun and really exciting.

    Chapter 1

I must admit, there have been a few kids I've come in contact over time, that I've often sat and wondered about years down the line. Wondered what became of them, how they have got on in the years since meeting them. In the age of social media it is somewhat easier to visually see how people are getting on in life, but there are some of them who just are not on Facebook or Twitter, and you can't help but wonder what has happened to them. I can only imagine what that feeling must be like for a teacher who is directly involved with shaping and nurturing these kids. The feelings must be multiplied many times over, and I guess that feeling of concern and care is somewhat overpowering at times. I am not sure I could do it. I think I'd struggle to not become emotionally caught up in the lives of my students. It must be really tough to be in that position. A really well written insight into a world we often overlook Bill. I got a real sense of the central character feeling as if he had so much unfinished business in those journals, with no real way to complete anything. No matter how much he desired to do something to 'fix' it all for his students, sometimes you just have to accept the reality and hope for the best. That must be really difficult to do. Thanks Bill, that was really interesting if somewhat sad too.
  13. Right, well I am out for likes for the day so far, but damn there are some real gems in this lot lemme tell you. I have to say the poetry has really been a highlight for me thus far. But then again, I'm only just scratching the surface, lots more to read, so I'm looking forward to discovering what else lies in wait over the horizon. Big thanks to the Antho team for making things happen so smoothly as ever and helping us bumble through the editorial and posting process without losing the will to live. You guys are awesome.

    Chapter 1

Totally spot on. It is that constant nagging at the back of your mind, what if!Especially when that what if involves such powerful emotions and feelings that a young boy didn't fully understand or yet appreciate. I am really glad you got that Aditus, Owen was never the same again because of what if's, and knowing you got that makes me feel good his story was understood. I visited Ypres War Graves when I was in Belgium and it is totally overwhelming. There is just row after row of headstones. It really shook me up, and that is just a handful of the total number of people killed, it is just too much to fully comprehend. It will be an experience that will live with me always.

    Chapter 1

I think bits of grass everywhere is kind of cute. Just don't mow the lawn in one patch, it makes it look like the green has got Alopecia or something. Thanks for reading Sasha, and I appreciate your feedback. It was a good story to tell and I had fun writing it, even if parts were almost heart breaking.

    Chapter 1

Louis I'm lost for words. It is not often I am the one on the receiving end of such high praise, and I am completely humbled that an editor who's worked on some of my favourite stories on this site would take the time to speak so highly of something I've written. I am so glad that you got the message I was trying to capture in Vivid, and thank you for your help in making it work. Having your understanding of what I set out to try capture made the process of writing this story that much easier, and you and Renee really helped me to channel the focus. I am so grateful for your review. I makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, and thank you so much for your love and support boet.

    Chapter 1

Hey JoJoThank you so much for your almost instant review and kind words. I hadn't even realised the antho had gone live as yet. I am grateful that you took the time to read and share your thoughts with me, and really pleased that I was able to convey the sense of feeling I wanted to try capture in the story. His pain did stay with him forever.

    Chapter 1

Mental and physical abuse is a really tough subject to write about. It is really difficult to get graphic without getting graphic if that makes any sense. There is only so much that you can stand as a human without feeling really uncomfortable and out of sorts, and abuse is very firmly set in an environment of violence we can't really deal with. I've found when I read something similar to this, I have to listen to my senses, and if it is too much to cope with, I can't read. In this instance, there were times my skin was crawling, and I think that in some ways the story really needed that, as it is not an easy subject, and the very real circumstances for a victim of abuse are not easy or pleasant. What I did find though was the detailed nature of your characters trials and tribulations while troubling were in bite sized chunks and that in a way made it manageable from my perspective as a reader. Victims of abuse are as you point out remarkably strong in terms of an inner strength to fight on and endure all. That is very true to life, and I think a silver lining to an otherwise unpleasant experience, although I am not sure everyone would agree with me. For what it is worth, I've explored abuse in a similar way, and I can only say it drained me completely as a writer. I was mentally unprepared for getting into the skin of my character, and in my story there was no real detail to the level or nature of the abuse, so I can only imagine what it must have been like for you as a writer to be so authentic and genuine with your attention to detail. I applaud you Wayne. You did this really well.

    Into the Fire

That was amazing. A normal life hiding a desire for so much more, and carried for 50 years. I wonder how many people do this kind of thing? Awesome background detail to the story. There were parts of that were you painted so well with your words it was as if I were stood right there listening to you describe what I was seeing. Awesome to get to see a look back at a time in US history that so many of us really don't have any clue about. Thanks.

    Chapter 1

Oh wow, I'm really chuft you decided to carry this story on. I remember when I first read about Max and Elliot I wanted to know so much more, and know we do. OMG I want the next instalment now. Does Elliot stick it to Pete and his father once more???? Does he, Does he, Does he? Love it Valkyrie, keep it going. Pretty please. xx

    Chapter 1

Superb. It's a serious story in so many ways, yet has a light hearted air to it. I loved the part when you described him being led by his erection. That I am sad to admit solicited a hearty chuckle, and then when the poor chap bent down at the river was felt up unceremoniously I totally cracked up. I've never even stopped to consider that such emotion and feeling would have stretched that far back, so it was really quite nice to see it here. Lovely entry, and thanks, that was fun.
  22. Just perfect. Quiet sentiment and touching words. It is never an easy thing to cope with, and you are right in a way, sometimes just being able to write something down is in its own way like talking it through with someone. Thank you for sharing, thank you for allowing us to share a very personal moment, and thank you for writing so open and honestly. It made it an amazing read.

    Story

Beautiful sentimental story. It is incredible how important family traditions really are like that. Things we cherish and cling to. It is a sense of identity and purpose. To be associated with a long line of people who all at some moment in their life were all brought to the same place in their life and in their own way added to the tradition. A single moment uniting every single one of those names added to that tree. I really like the name Ean. That's mint. Where did you get the picture?

    Chapter 1

I remember reading a book called Cataclysm when I was younger which talked about the world being swallowed by the oceans. It scared the hell out of me, but also had a really erotic 'gay' scene in it which kind of thrilled me. It was quite nice to see a story based several years into the future of the problem and looking at the effect that the flooding was having on those left to deal with it, and not just the standard 'end of the world' scenario that plays out in so many stories of this nature. I also thought it was a really clever use of the theme by making Scars into an acronym. Food for thought though Bill. Thanks for your hard work.
  25. I have to say, that was so totally unexpected it was a total breath of fresh air. What a wonderfully creative use of the theme, and I loved it. Mother nature and our planet are an amazing place, and given time and chance, the planet is designed with the help of mother nature to heal its wounds and bring new life over and over again. What a wonderfully positive use of your entry. Can't help but feel uplifted and alive when you finish reading. Well done, that was wonderful.
