Grrrrr, Ughhhh and all that goes between!!!! It may be a story with fictional characters but it does not stop me from wanting to give Dane's father his comeuppance ten fold. I don't even think I need to think very hard to know exactly how Dane ended up where he did at the end of this chapter. Still loving the story and now on the edge of my seat.
-
Oh, Dane's dad needs to be taken out behind the tool shed and.... There is a fine line between righteous anger and abuse. Little doubt is left in my mind which of those two Dane's father falls within. Glad it was a friendly giant that Dane ran into that at least was able to provide a little comfort before the storm (his father). I think I am going to continue to have a growing urgency to want to break off a switch a use it on Dane's father, lol. Great first chapter. I'm hooked already.

An exceptional story! Although I am not too keen on the "perhaps" in the last sentence of the story. I'll just assume and believe that he did return and him (Hero) and Charlie (Big C) got their best friend forever, brother to the end and lived outside of the influence of D's father.
-
D really has dug himself a hole to which there may be no getting out of when it comes to Big C. In a way I cannot feel sorry for him...at least not at this point. His own bigoted view, conceded attitude and anger has made him what he is today. Some would say that he is a product of a society so closed and scared that they hate anything different from them. I simply say that he is a product of his own making. We all make choices and those very choices define us and boy did his actions clearly define him. I cannot say that I condone Big C's actions either. It may have been hard and seemed impossible but he should have been truthful with D. It will be alot for Big C to deal with now as he was viciously outed...by his so called best friend, brothers to the end as well as he will now deal with loosing his best friend. As much as I would love to say that Big C is better off, I can't. Would be nice if D finally comes around and him and Big C can attempt to repair the damage done to their friendship.....we shall see as I read on
-
I just had a wicked and down right twisted thought. Could it be that Big C isn't really the gay one? Could it be that D is really the gay one? Could it be that Big C has known it for some time and just accepted it and never let it alter or bother him...fleeting thought, sorry. I saw it coming but was hoping against it. I was hoping that D would wise up and not succumb to the peer pressure that Luke was putting on him. For someone that claims to be strong and not let anyone tell him what to do, he sure let Luke do a number on him. I suppose the only question now is how will this effect his and Big C's friendship. I don't foresee the whole best friend and brothers to the end anymore. Instead I see more of a turmoil and rocky road filled with potholes and detours. Maybe they can salvage at least a friendship in the end but I don't know.....

Ch 06: Don't Call Me Charlie
CW Prince commented on Hamen Cheese's story chapter in Ch 06: Don't Call Me Charlie
D has no clue what he did when he took that nick away from Big C. Every friendship has a special trinket snuggled some where amonst the folds and bonds that are forged. When you rip that out and throw it away it irrevocable alters and can unhunge a friendship. I hope D understands and notices this before Big C is devistated to the point their friendship slips like rain through a screened window on an overcast day. "...best friends forever and brothers to the end..." but D sure isn't uphoilding his end of that very well. -
Ch 04: I Seeng a Soong fo Chaalee
CW Prince commented on Hamen Cheese's story chapter in Ch 04: I Seeng a Soong fo Chaalee
The pickles to which we find ourselves. A crush and not just any crush but the crush on a best friend. One you know is straight and can't have but none the less a crush that can wound your mortal soul. Let's hope that D can handle the truth when Big C decides to open up and share his feelings and desires. We all know it will affect their relationship but to what extent? D is slowly growing on me. I still think he is a bit too conceded but still a nice guy. There needs to be a little imperfection thrown into his life if for no other reason then to just humble him a little. -
Ch 02: Charlie's Interest in Art
CW Prince commented on Hamen Cheese's story chapter in Ch 02: Charlie's Interest in Art
Interesting that D talks about some of the other people being stuck on themselves. The way he speaks about himself sheds the same light on him. There is a difference between being egotistical and arrogant and just being confident. He seems to falling in the first category with me. He may be good looking, good at basketball and well liked but to constantly point that out and make it seem one of the most important things about him just makes him conceded in my book. Maybe this is the part that you were referring to when you said some would like, dislike or feel sorry for the characters. He has a l o n g way to go in my book if I am going to be that way towards him, lol. I don't dislike him. I'm just indifferent at the moment. I can feel for Big C though. Being stuck in a group, or feeling like it, that you don't seem to fit with while secretly longing to be somewhere else. Torn between a friend or in Charlie's case your 'hero' and best friend and the desires of your heart- be that a place, group or just plain love. Tough call and one that has the potential to tear a friendship apart. I think Luke already knows or strongly suspects that Big C is gay and has a cruch on his 'hero'. Could be interesting to see the pressure that he puts on D and the lengths to which he may go to expose Big C. -
And thus the knife goes deeper. Although one can never just walk into a situation and believe they know the full story right away. Appearance wise it would seem that Pete was into girls but could the underlying truth be that she is his best friend and he was simply talking to her and asking her advice about Corb? Could her trip have to do with Pete wanting her to meet Corb so she can give Pete her oppinion? I think Corb should just sit back and stay away from dippin his dipstick into any more freshman until he can sort everything out. We all know that is not what he will do but one can hope. Sadly I see Corb making some bad decisions with the upcoming night. I see a night filled with Oh's, Ah's and oh-yeah's and then a morning filled with regret and a damaged relationship bewteen Corb and Pete. Hard call to make in Corb's position based with what he has or thinks he has perceived. JWolf, you are doing an extraordinary job of mixing me up, twisting me about and utterly confusing me again, lol. I love it! Keep up the great work and I am excitedly looking forward to the next chapter. Saddly though I feel like my Corb and Pete hope will go about as well and my Kyle and Coop one. Just so you are aware....I still have that t-shirt. Its just tucked away now at the bottom of my drawer. LOL

Just suck it up and pull yourself together, Logan. You have more then most and that is a dedicated, loving and supportive boyfriend. What a freakin mess! Any idea when there might be another install in this story?

Tomorrow, When the War Began
CW Prince commented on Jwolf's story chapter in Tomorrow, When the War Began
There was a perfect time for Logan to back out of all of this and live a normal life again. He could have handed the reigns to Taylor when him and Steven were leaving Homecoming. That would have been the smart thing to do. I know that Logan is a main character but I hope this new small dynamo knocks him off his new found throne! Logan needs to be served a HUGE piece of humble pie with a side of reality. I still feel sorry for Eric. I can't help it. I cannot condone his actions towards Logan nor make excuses for them. I just think he made a few bad decisions. -
My head is swimming and I'm desperately trying to row back and figure out what exactly is going on with Steven and Logan. Logan seemed to like him. Steven seemed to really like Logan. Logan sleeps with Eric. Tori has been wounded but not enough to keep her down. Now she seems intent on bringing the full strength of her stinger out and taking Logan down....worse than before. I'm not even sure who is going to survive this avalanche. Ok, so maybe Eric wasn't so innocent but I still think there is more to him and Logan then meets the eye. I don't think it is all scandalous either. I also feel that poor Steven is going to get crush in the middle of all this mess.
-
Why do I feel like Eric is getting the raw end of this deal? Everything should be shouting and screaming that he is just as much at fault as his sister but my gut tells me differently. I can't nor will I try to explain it...its just a hunch, a gut feeling. The only thing I have to base any of this off of is that one little statement he made to his sister, "Do your own dirty work". I'm perplexed and guess I'll read on to see if my hunch is correct.
-
I can already see it. She gets her claws into him and makes him into someone and something that her brother hates. She comes out on top as the loving sister who did nothing and he comes out as the looser who let her change him into the one thing her brother will hate. "Welcome to my palor said the spider to the fly." Eric has no clue what is actually going on cause he is too blinded by his love for his sister. Logan, blinded by desire to fit in, allows himself to be change and become the appetizer at his own 'let's destory Logan party'. One can only hope that Logan wises up before it is too late...or is it already too late? I foresee loneliness and heartbreak in both Eric and Logan's near future.

I am not from Texas. I'm actually from Indiana but we had plenty of big haired beotches around here as well. Around here they grew up on farms so not only did they have big hair but they knew how to wrestle cattle and put the best of men down. lol
-
I would attempt to describe what I am thinking regarding Logan but I am afraid I would get banned from this site forever with my language. I can see you are going to have me all twisted, disturbed and up in arms on this story as well. No one deserves what is coming Eric's way. This is a betrayal that can never be forgiven.
-
I learned long ago you nevahhhhhh mess with a beotch that has big hair. Big hair equals big attitude. Glad her brother doesn't seem to be like her.
-
Maybe it is cause I've never cared about social standing. I mean, we are who we are and people either like you or they don't. Don't need anyone liking you for who you aren't or people that think they can get ahead cause of you. I suppose that is why I can't believe what Corbin did just to get a different mixer. If you have to twist, lie and be devious about it then maybe you should rethink things. I understand that Corbin did what he thought was best for the Frat, his brothers and their social standing but at what cost? This makes him no better then that slimy snake like swamp creature Lee that made Corbin so upset when he learned that Lee had essentially used him to get a bid. I'm liking Pete more and more but still mift about his elusiveness towards Corbin. My take on him is more that he wants to get to know Corbin as a person. See what makes him tick to see if anything can work between them. He is being "Old School" about his approach. Even though he is moving slower then a 3-toes Sloth about this I commend him while at the same time getting frustrated with him as well. Lee is slime. Sludge. The lowest of the low. He may be confused, or so he claims, but I tend to agree with Corbin. Lee used him to get what he wanted. A reputation for getting bids. A way of becoming big man on campus. Well, Lee, the higher you go the further and harder you have to fall and if Corbin has anything to say about you WILL fall. Me no like him!
-
Corbin seems so keen on understanding and knowing that he likes Pete but so unsure about just telling him. Instead he lets it build to a point that he can't handle it and looks for an outlet. Cadet Mikey is just that, an outlet. I do suppose tho that routine and habbit are hard to break. You get so comfortable with someone that no matter what you continue to go back to them. I just wish either Pete or Corbin would confess what they feel openly and get the tension out of the air. Someone give them an emotional exlax, please lol. They are too constipated...just be sure to open a window for fresh air I'm still perplex about who I think would be better for Corbin. He has some intimacy with Cadet Mikey that we see in this chapter. Eventhough it is short lived and when it seems to get to a certain point Mikey puts the breaks on. He has the passion with Lee. That is seen on how the kisses are described. He has the friendship and companionship with Pete. I need more time to mull this over and decide. In the mean time I do think that Pete likes Corbin more then he is letting on and should show a bit more of that to Corbin.
-
At some point and time Pete is going to have to get his 'dipstick' wet. Corbin just needs to cuddle with him one night and see what happens in the morning. If Pete freaks then just blame it on the alcohol. Sounds to me like Pete is fishing to see how Corbin feels, thinks and reacts so he knows how to act. Corbin, for some unknown and irrational reason, won't tell or is just waiting for Pete to make a move. Stop bumpin Pee Pees and get on with it. Corbin buddy you are a dork and a half and I half think you deserve the cock torture Pete is dishing out to you. Yes you have to be honest but that includes being honesty in all things....say like your feelings! Bite the bullet and take the plunge. The continued torture is worse then the possible backlash, if any. Yes it will hurt at first but at least the torture and agonizingly painful twist of that knife will go away. The way it is there is no end in sight.

Why does the Carly Simon song "You're so Vain" come to mind about now? For the love of all that is decent and good, grow some balls and grow up Corbin. Sufferin Succotash- if ya like someone then you invest in them. It isn't like a fudgesicle that you need to be in a hurry and eat it before it melts. Take a little time. Show some interest. Pull your brains outta yer pecker for once, lol. Jwolf, can I smack Corbin in the forhead with a wet noodle?? I don't wanna hurt him, just maybe knock some sense into him....please
-
Oh wow... A tall cool drink of water named Pete!!! I'm hooked on Pete just from the accent. I'm glad to see that Pete is a little more reserved then Coop, lol. I'll be following Pete with a great deal of interest and a wondering imagination (as clean as I can keep it)

Chapter 15: Follow That Nowhere Man
CW Prince commented on Jwolf's story chapter in Chapter 15: Follow That Nowhere Man
This may make me crazy and slightly off kilter but I feel sorry for Tyler. If I read the story correct then killing his wife sounded like self defense. She had the shot gun. She shot the 'clown' and turned towards Tyler. What the hell do ya suspect he would do? Trav is the one who killed the 'clown'. Its all messed up. Ugh -
... Forever is Never that Easy (Part 2)
CW Prince commented on Jwolf's story chapter in ... Forever is Never that Easy (Part 2)
Where to start, what to say and how to say it.... An extraordinary story. I could relate to so many of the characters in this story. I think I got so emotional and distraught with Coop and Kyle the most cause if you wrapped the two of them into one person it could so easily resemble me (without all of the sexual exploits of Coop tho). I know I openly wanted Kyle and Coop to finally be together in the end but I suppose life sometimes puts people into our lives that we love more then we love ourselves but a relationship is just not in the cards. We can love, laugh, cry, argue and even share intimate moments with them but in the end we must realize just where in our lives they fit. Should we try to force fit them somewhere they do not belong then we run the risk of loosing everything. If we accept what is and how it is then we can find balance, peace and love them without remorse, guilt or awkwardness. *Sighs*...the memories this story brought back for me. Even though it was your story and I was not a character within the folds of this story I still felt so connected to Coop and Kyle that some of my memories became like one with theirs. Since Kyle and Coop are not going to be together, do you suppose I might get an opportunity with Kyle, LOL *wink* . Or would I have to fight that ER doctor for it? I shall miss these characters but will return to "The List" and "The Funny Thing Is" later to reread and once again enjoy the journey of these life-bonded friends. -
... Forever Is Never That Easy (Part 1)
CW Prince commented on Jwolf's story chapter in ... Forever Is Never That Easy (Part 1)
Of all the bad decisions that Coop could make this is the worst! Let's see how many ways this could go wrong. Wait, I don't have the time nor the space to list them. You never barter and win with a desperate drug addict. I can see it now. Coop does this and either picks up some nasty disease or Chace find out from Morgan and that ends the Coop/Chace love affair. Really, does Coop think that Morgan won't use this to his advantage? Morgan may be many things but stupid is not one of them. Morgan knows, or I am assuming, that if Chace finds out that he will end things with Coop and that will leave the avenue open for Morgan to get Chace back. S T U P I D!
