    Chapter 3

That was a very fun and entertaining short story! The plot was light, the characters were believable, the sex was hot. Everything I want when I'm looking for a bit of entertainment on here. I wish I got to know the characters a bit better, but at the same time, it was kinda nice to be able to start and finish a story in one sitting. Thanks for sharing with us here!
  4. What a great story! The characters were all well developed, editing was great, and there was just the right amount of steam to keep you coming back for more! Thanks for sharing your gift with us here.

    Chapter 1

What an incredible start to a story! You did a great job capturing the feelings of a first heartbreak. I'm looking forward to reading more!
  7. This chapter is great. It is a wonderful start to a story. I think you captured the emotions of a one night stand perfectly, from the drunken reasoning with yourself the night of to the shame and emptiness the next day. Can't wait to finish the story!

    Chapter 23

What a great story. The first few chapters were a bit triggery but they were well written. My favorite aspect of this story was how the plot line flowed. Usually you are introduced to the characters, have a slow build up to a climax, then slip back down in a resolution. This story felt like it started off with the first five or so chapters being intense then slowly brought resolution throughout the remaining chapters. It was very unique and enjoyable. I was unsure how you could end the story in a satisfactory way, but you nailed it! Thanks for sharing your gift with us here.
  9. I found this to be a wonderfully entertaining story. I have put off reading it because of its length and I tend to prefer erotica, but now I am kicking myself that I denied myself this story for so long. The characters are well developed with very believable motive behind all their actions. My favorite part was how well you described each port of call, especially those in the Mediterranean. I can not imagine how much research you must have done for this story. Thank you for sharing your gift with us here. It was truly a great tale.

    Chapter 6

When we returned to the safe house, the teams were already grouped together. Stephen stood with Jim, Sean, Jenna, and Libby in the back corner finalizing the plans. As we approached the group, they split up, leaving only Stephen to greet us. “Impeccable timing. We head out in five minutes” He gave us a knowing grin as he too headed off to join his team. “Be careful and come back.” I glanced at Bill with worry etching my face. He grinned as he turned to face me. “You do care.” His tone is

    Chapter 5

Thank you for all the advice you have offered on this story. I really do appreciate your input and agree with you points completely. I already had All Creatures done and finalized by the time I started posting so unfortunately, all the plot gaps are still going to be unanswered in the last chapter. In my head, Mike doesn't have questions that would seem obvious because he asks them in the time jumps that are not covered in the story. I realize now that was not the best way to handle it. But you live you learn! Thanks to you, I now have post-its on my computer reminding myself to step back from writing and put myself in my characters place to capture all the feelings and questions that they might have. Hopefully my next shot at creative writing will improve! Thanks again for reading the story and offering your comments.

    Prologue

I am so excited to see the next book of CAP released already! With both Odyssey and 9.11 ending so close together, I was planning for the worst and trying to decide how to deal with coming Mark Arbour withdrawal, that I was sure to endure. Your ability to produce such high quality stories with a quick turn around has me in awe! You are obviously the master! Thanks for sharing your talent with us here. ~A

    Chapter 5

Bill sat at the head of the long formal dining table with Stephen on his right hand side. At his suggestion, I sank into the chair to his right, slumping forward in an attempt to make myself small and unobtrusive. Three other men, including Jim and Sean, and two women sat arranged around the remainder of the table. After everyone settles in their seat, Bill thumps a manila envelope on the wood top and slides it toward the middle of the table. “That packet includes the current CAD drawing of

    Chapter 4

I wake up in a haze of confusion with the sun assaulting my eyes. Both my left arm and leg are tingling from where they hung off the couch for hours. Why did I sleep in here again? As I sit up, I see the empty whiskey bottle and all the memories of last night hit me at once. I jump up, and make it to the bathroom with seconds to spare. As regret seeps into my soul, I place my cheek on the cool plastic of the seat, watching the tainted water circle out of the bowl. Somehow Gentleman Jack

    Chapter 3

“What do you mean, you don’t want to talk about it?” Ally yells over the stereo from the next room over. “I called you three times last night and you didn’t answer once! That is the signs of either an awesome night or an epic fail. Either way, I want to know the details!” I close up the box of books I have just finished filling and walk into Ally’s bedroom to find her holding up a blue micro skirt to her body in front of the mirror, with a look of disgust. “Do you see what vet school did t

    Chapter 2

Graduation day comes and Ally and I wait on her parents to find us in the mass of black gowns with grey hoods. My parents couldn’t make graduation; my little brother had a soccer game. Same excuse they gave when they bailed on my white coat ceremony, college graduation, and high school graduation. I don’t think my little brother even plays soccer any more. He is their one hope for a successful progeny at this point. In my parents’ mind, anything I achieve will always be overshadowed by the

    Chapter 1

I can do this. Only two more weeks of this hell and then it's over. I’m done and moving on. I can do this. The same mantra that I had been chanting to myself for the past four years ran through my head while I cowered in the one remaining stall with an intact door in the men's restroom. “Mike? Are you in here?” I hear my only friend Ally, calling from the door. God damn it! Not the best place to hide apparently. “Yeah, Alls, give me a minute.” “You've been missing for thirty minutes. I t
