    not being one of my countries rich people, i feel the same as you. Landed gentry (an actual Lord), recently had a wind turbine built as part of the power for the glyndebourne opera house. of course, he had it built, not in the best wind-spot, but in a place where it couldn't be seen from his land and thus lowered the value of about 1/4 of the houses in another local village. the fact that he paid off the wind-survey people is well known.

    1. he did not buy the beach - there is a road between beach and cliffs, and the land 2. the second you get out of Brighton itself, the beach is very unpopular - it is made of rocks and stones, and 90% of the year it is windy, raining and too cold to be out without more than one pair of socks. 3. no one with more than X amount of money does anything legally in this country as far as planning permission is concerned. it is a well known fact that everyone in that area of government is corrupt as hell anyways, and trying to do things legally just delays your project by approximately 4 years or cancels it completely. 4.     he will get a name, eventually.and also, it is five chapters because that was the word limit of the anthology it was originally designed for, but i do intend to write more within this universe.
