    Chapter 9

and yet you would be surprised how often shit like this happens. I'm not saying nothing happens to the culprits, but that's less important to Cole's life.life isn't fair. sucks

    Chapter 9

Cole drove Jared home on Sunday, after lunch, after chores and riding. Jared was a fast learner, and having watch Cole skip out the stables once he was the first to grab a fork and get to work. Cole loved watching Jared work, that tight compact little body moved so neatly and every time Jared caught him looking he smiled. Cole had to fight the urge to repeat their night time activities in the empty stables. He tossed hay down from the loft, got new shavings for all the stalls and checked on all
  3. my solution is very boring get tested. be monogamous. trust your partner. Don't buy condoms for 6 years and then get married. works for us....

    Chapter 8

It didn’t take long for Cole to realise that having Jared around in public fucked with his sense of perspective. The whole time they wandered around town he was hyper aware of where the other boy was, who was looking at him, who was near him. So much so it fact that Cole managed to walk into people, children, dogs and a lamp post while his eyes tracked Jared’s movements. Jared smiled constantly and every time that thousand kilo-watt grin was turned on him Cole had to think of cold rain and snow
  6. and it's nice to see these things done well on the internet. turns out that hard work pays off.

    Chapter 7

He hadn’t spoken to anyone since he’d gotten back, simply holed himself up in his bedroom, ostensibly reading the latest of the Discworld novels. Jared lay curled up on his bed, book forgotten, hugging the duvet in the half dark cast by his desk lamp. He’d left Cole, abandoned him in the truck without a word, hadn’t let him explain. If he hadn’t cared, Jared doubted that he would feel this awful. He hated to admit after the fact, but he felt about Cole the way people in stories seemed to love. I
  8. I am so glad that somebody out there does this too!

    Chapter 6

Jared had stood and groomed Cole’s horse when they had come back to the stables, running his fingers over the soft fur over well-formed muscles. Dune’s nose was like the most amazing velvet, super-warm and delicately soft to his touch. The big horse had been scary to Jared when he had first seen him, but Cole had moved around him as though born to it and Jared didn’t want to disappoint his boyfriend. The farm was amazing, scenery and sky so big it was overwhelmingly like drowning in heaven. Col
  11. there was a version my pandora's box, then Celin Dion's one, then Meatloaf, it was on the bat out of hell 3 album.
  12. Quotes we come back to when we feel.... sad, down, in need. Jake Burton (Burton Snowboarding) in the flip book of the Burton team riders; "Everyone you see here was once a beginner"
  13. update on this, two of my readers started a fight in my comments (not here, on LitE) one complained of my lack of editing saying that "i couldn't be a real writer because there was so many errors" and another replied with this nugget of perfection: "authors who post online for free are doing us a favour. Authors are not beholden to us, contractually or otherwise, and we should be thankful that they post at all" after that i just sat back and allowed nature to take it's course.
  14. self serving..... fantasy is my thing. Evil Demons live here and awesome wolves live here.
  15. Depressed = watch skateboarders. and i don't mean fails. i find the noise soothing, the movement fluid. there's just something about it. Stressed = shout, scream, sing loudly in the car to meatloaf. ride the horse, walk the dog. spend time in the greenest part of the world knowing i'm damn better than any of those fools who make you feel rubbish.
  16. I'm glad you liked it. whereas i only know that song as sung by Meat Loaf, which is the version that Maxie listens to...
  17. Me thinks that you are way too organised.... i am slightly jealous of this...
  18. this depends if I've actually decided to write something. Books like Don't Shout and The Wall and Goat had NO planning. I mean not one word. i literally at and down and wrote 50k without a word of planning. When i actually decide to write something i tend to have a character list often with little asides and descriptions of main features (continuity is a bitch). Mapping rocks. Mapping is awesome for finding out where people live in relation to each other, getting stupidly pointless details of things. the book which I will write this novemeber for NanoWriMo has the most planning I've ever done (big world map with trade routes, characters spreadsheet, three strand timeline and a whole load of research about suitcase bombs and the Atomic rocket). whereas all Finding Atlantis had was a very sketchy chapter-by-chapter plot and about four words on each character. also....am i the only one that Scrivener seems pointless to? I just use files...
  19. It had been exactly fifteen days since I had last seen Jesse. He had got up, and walked away. I had let my phone go dead that day, hadn’t been bothered to charge it, or log on and check my email. I hadn’t read, hadn’t done homework, or for the most part attend school. I seemed to live in a world bound between the distance between home and Paul and Guy’s house. I ate when I had to, when Paul force fed me baked goods from the oven or when Babaanne near-spoon fed me stew when I was home. I avoided

    Chapter 5

Carla Sathie lay in bed and fretted about her sons. Her husband had been gruff and annoyed when he had arrived from the bathroom fresh from brushing his teeth and after much cajoling had relayed to her the events he had uncovered in Clayton and Caden’s bedroom. Cole’s announcement had shocked everyone to varying degrees, but the two middle brothers seemed most affected. Cory was too young to understand, and as the only girl, idolised her eldest brother like a god. Chase was not yet a teenager, a

  22. I was sure of my decision and full of self-confidence for the length of time it took me to walk to the train station, get on the train and actually think about what I said to Maxie. And then I broke down. I had one good thing in my life. One. I had Maxie, Maxie my boyfriend, Maxie who understood me as best he could, who tried and cared and was beautiful and talented and confident. And then I threw it all away. I stood, wanting to run back, and the train left. It left without my heart and soul o

    Chapter 4

Wilton yawned and stretched, basking in the sunlight that was only now managing to cut through the earlier fog and mist. It was lunch time and he was waiting next to the truck for Cole to make an appearance. Normally Cole finished first and was waiting for him in the common room but his lanky frame hadn’t been there so Wilton decided to take advantage of the sun. He stood against the truck and strummed softly on his (stunning) guitar, nothing special just little bits and pieces. After a little w
