Give me a damn second to breathe! I just wrote 48,000 words in three weeks, what more do you want? When I say "I'm a dog person" I mean it in ways other people don't so much. There's a reason people in the street come up to me and marvel at how sweet natured, calm, and well behaved my hound is. Understanding what dogs do and how they think is my wheelhouse.

hehehehe! Thanks hoho. Malamutes can be a little bit dense, Siberian's are awesome, but a lot of people prefer newer hybrids. It's like racing with classic cars as opposed to formula one! and yes, my technique has been honed meticulously. You'll live, but only just!

Well Jian isn't really a cat... he doesn't smell like one, he just smells like himself. an animal's perceptions of a shifter have an awful lot to do with the individual shifter. Emmett has been nervous of accidentally squashing small things/people/animals his whole life, so he's nervous around the dogs and they pick up on that. Rye on the other hand adores the dogs, and they clamber all over him in a fluffy pile!

I'm not sure they could lose each other now... but you're going to love what's coming up next. Emmett and Jian are going to ge their minds wrapped around something to be sure....

you've run out of 'likes' for the day hun! And you're right, Jian has worked out telling Emmett what to do is not going to be a good foundation for their relationship. He'll reel him in.

    Chapter 26

I an glad you made it to the end, but I am sorry you feel that way. Erin cares deeply about Luke, but expecting him to understand everything Luke is going through is unrealistic - the same as there has been stuff Erin has gone through which Luke can't understand - like his fear in the face of sudden anger and violence. Just because they've not been dealt the same hand in life, doesn't mean they can't support each other in times of need.

All night, Emmett tossed and turned, woke and slept in fits, and by the time the sky lightened very slightly, the indigo dawn of pre-twilight seeping in across the snow like badly mixed watercolours, he was wrapped up in all of his blankets, curled into the corner of his bedroom. Emmett was tired, but every time he closed his eyes to sleep, all he could hear were Jian’s wretched sobs, the memory overlapping the sadness he had felt emanating from the boy’s room the night Zeke had stayed over. and what's wrong with wanting to experiment with your sexuality before you declare it to the world at large? An interesting perspective.

Kiorl's not had to work hard for anything for millennia, this is going to hurt!

    Chapter 12

Kiorl regarded the beautiful, pale-skinned young demon carefully. Standing under the autumn sunshine in the park, he could have been any pretty, normal boy. Except for those eyes. Why did Nassau give him my eyes? The question had bothered Kiorl since the first time the panther had seen Lahja awake. Slit pupils were not so unusual in their world, but they were the exact same shade… it couldn’t have been a simple coincidence, and Nassau never did anything without deliberate consideration. But all
  14. There's usually chocolate on our tree. tinsel, lights, the whole shebang. Pretty much every ornament tells a story, a person who bought it for us or a place where we were. And it must always, always, be decorated whilst listening to The Very Last Goon Show of All, to which I now know all the words and sketches.
  15. The definition of cheating is decided by what you both agree upon. If you both agree that it's fine to have the odd hook up with a trusted ex, then it's not cheating. But if one of you agrees and the other doesn't, then you've crossed that line you were talking about up there. No relationship is simple, even the ones that look it from the outside. Trust me. Puppilull and LitLover are both correct, so I’ll just add to that sentiment. If it's something you feel the need to hide, or find it hard to talk about with your partner, then it's cheating, and probably not a good idea.

thank you very much! You're right, love is there, they'll just have to find a way to find it.

but if they are mates, real mates, there's almost no level of damage you can't come back from. that or be celibate and unhappy forever...

There's a big jump between having your friend's josh you over guys you fancy, and having them interrogate a guy you actually really like - even if they are just being friendly. Sex isn't always the best way to start out... but sometimes it's fun! Thanks Tim

  20. So, what's your tree like? When do you/did you put it up? And what's on it? Any favourite, special decorations?
  21. Thank you. Thank you very much. My characters tend to take over my mind, and in contrary to popular belief, being an empath is a lot more hard work than it seems - I can never sit through a war documentary without crying. I love a good HEA, and they do exist in real life, so it's fair. I'm so glad you've enjoyed Kieran's company, even if he is an unlike-able dick at the start. I promise I never plan to stop writing. Thank you.

  24. A lurker steps out of the shadows.... Welcome! And welcome to semi-adulthood too, a scary (and expensive) time my friend, but very rewarding. I'm sure we'll all enjoy hearing of your new adventures now you can share them.
  25. I am eternally thankful not to have lost anyone in my personal life this year, especially with the passing of so many great actors/musicians/radio personalities (Terry Wogan will mean next to nothing to you guys on the other side of the ocean, but I grew up hearing the man every single weekday since before I can remember). On the other hand, there are lots of good people still here, and whilst a dead man's name is still spoken, he is not really gone. 2016 wasn't all bad.
