You don't have to know anything to begin to love Anu and his antics - I promise. All gods have temples, and temples have priests. A High Priest is the most senior of the clergy who worship any particular god. So Bast has her own High Priest, Horus has his etc etc. High Priest's are often thought to be able to better commune with their god, and so it is far easier for Anu to talk to him, than any other human. The human brain tries not to see things it really doesn't understand. It's very comforting, after all, to know that the gods are there. It's knowing they are HERE which tends to make people turn into blithering idiots. Sobek is totally snuggly.

Jian fell asleep on the world’s shortest car journey from the Cochrane train station to the traveller’s hotel. I will admit that the idea was first seeded by re-watching the film, and the phrase "I shall never have grandchildren" stuck with me and replayed itself until the idea got lodged, but this isn't fanfiction, or a version of their future. My Jamie is very different from that Jamie, and Ste is not the same guy, though he suffers from some of the same problems. Jamie's mum is a very different person altogether, that's for sure. (Interestingly, I kept Ste's name not because of Ste from the film, but because I met a couple called Jamie and Ste in Korea whilst travelling, and this Ste is based a bit off him too). I'm glad you liked the story though, and thank you for the review.

hehehehe! They all have so many jobs, depending on when during the dynasty's you look them up. I was never a an SG-1 person, but I loved Stargate. I fancied that version of Ra rotten as a teenager. Not a film to watch with your very-straight older brother... which was a shame, because it was his DVD. -

There's a lot of little details about Tut's tomb which if you ever decide to study it will surprise and hopefully delight you. Set got a good comeuppance, but eternity is a long time, and you can't always keep a bad dog down...
