“Yo! Mr. Divolo!” I yelled, leaning over the railing of my third story apartment balcony to look at the fruit vender across the street. He looked up, and I waited until he made eye contact with me before I continued. “Could I please buy a lemon or two off of ya? I messed up this morning while I was shopping and forgot to grab some. Now I have food on the stove and need them asap.” “Sure darling! Just send that sweet pup of yours down with her basket.” “T

Does anyone have a friendly poltergeist haunting their house?
Winged_Wolf replied to Page Scrawler's topic in The Lounge
My house gremlins struck again. I have maybe two pair of non-denim pants that I use when I need to go out places but do not feel well, so I toss those on. The rest of my soft, around the house pants are all wacky colors and patterns. Unfortunately, I can't find any of my normal soft pants, only the wacky color ones -
Does anyone have a friendly poltergeist haunting their house?
Winged_Wolf replied to Page Scrawler's topic in The Lounge
Not sure if mine is a poltergeist or a group of heinselmenchen (German house elves), but I will regularly put something down on my desk or side table, go back for them not 10 minutes later and it won't be there, only to find it 3 weeks later half way across the house. Most common thing stolen I'd my earbuds or book. I've even had the notebook I was actively writing in get stolen! -

Winged_Wolf commented on Winged_Wolf's story chapter in 183 ; Object found in the trash
It's good to be back in the saddle again. writers block is a terrible thing, ya know? still stumped on my actual chapter story, but hopefully these shorts will help work the cobwebs loose from the barn rafters, so to speak -

Dialogue Prompt: Sometimes memories are the worst form of torture” ************************************************************************************* “Sometimes memories are the worst form of torture.” I muttered to myself, using the wrist of a soap-covered hand to wipe away my tears before returning my focus to the tack in my lap. “Memories come, even when all you want to do is forget.” “And what is it you want to forget, my love?” asked a deep, silky smooth baritone voice from b

I stare out into the rain Arms open to embrace the wind As the moisture touches my face It mixes with tears for what had been As I think of days long gone I remember the happier times The strength of your arms holding on And the taste of your lips on mine But the tears that now grace my cheek Are the tears that you placed here Through the torture, past the pain You remain in memories that I hold dear My heart is st

I stared at the door in front of me, dread pooling in the pit of my stomach. I could clearly hear the three different octaves of laughter float through the door, and I knew that I would be ruining one of their days. Finally plucking up the courage, I raised my hand and knocked on the door. The laughter died down, and I heard a pair of heels crossing the wooden floor. I stepped back as I watched the curtain on the window shift, a face appearing in the gap that was just created. The smile on h

hmmm....now that;s a tough one.I have may stories that i love here, and many different authors that i follow. But, out of all of them, I would have to say that my favorite story in the entire website would be Cowboy Summer by Sasha Distan, and that is because it strikes home more than any other story i;ve read here. i can clearly feel the connection slowly forming between the main character and the horse he is learning to ride, and it reminds me so much of the connection that i share with my own horse. and the entire story being set in a town where everyone knows eachother, it makes me long for the same. that;s why Cowboy summer is my favorite.

I ended up joining GA when i followed an author i was reading (Tucker McCallahan just for information). after having caught up on all that tucker had posted, i went exploring the site, finding that you had a chat room, as well as some great stories that i quickly fell in love with. having fluttered around the site for a couple weeks without an actual profile, i decided it was time to join the ranks and created a profile. since then GA has been the only online site i visit when i am looking for a good, heart warming story.

The stars in the night sky Replicates the sparkle of your eyes The gentle aroma flowing off flowers Reminds me of your skin The soaring song of the nightingale Is the sound of your voice The thunder of hooves on the plains Is the beating of your heart The wind whispering through the willow trees Are your fingers on my skin The moonlight breaking through the clouds Is dimmed by the smile touching your face

Even perfect parties have hickups
Winged_Wolf commented on Winged_Wolf's story chapter in Even perfect parties have hickups
sasha, AJ stands for Adriana Josiphine. she kinda came into my head back in 'running a quarter mile' which is still in the works as a full fledged story -.- so many story ideas, so little room in my head, what with wings, wolves, arrows, horses, and demons now flapping around with the dragons and elves i already had up there -

The reason everyone on the deck wasn;t shocked was because they were all part of a pack, and use to the shifting of forms. i probabally should of had a few gasps of shock about Twila being a demon and all, but that;s for a later story *gives an evil grin* -
I stood in the center of my deck, jacket wrapped tightly around myself to try and ward off the cold, as I turned in a circle. I let my eyes flow over the decorations for the outdoor section of the party, going over the checklist in my head as my eyes passed each item. √ -Canopy over the deck to keep snow from covering the wood planks √ -Fire pit with a cheery fire crackling in the center √ -Table set up near the fire, stocked with
